From what I remember, they thought it was dull and depressive and in hindsight they wanted something more uplifting to go along with the song. Also, in the liner notes of the "Further Listening"-edition for Bilingual, Chris says that it is the worst video of their career.

After the Covid outbreak in 2020 I always refer to this video. Remember when the public were aloud to shop again but only a few in the stores at one time and we had to queue outside waiting for our turn to enter 🤣🤣🤣 maybe it was our Red Letter Day

Why does hearing PSB make me happier than I should reasonably expect to feel? Happier and alternately bittersweetly nostalgic. They've had many excellent albums since, but I still can't believe this album came out so long ago.
