"Behaviour" was the first adult music album I ever had. I bought a cassette tape and would listen to it non-stop on my Walkman. I was 13 years old at the time. I remember these songs accompanying me, especially in the backseat of my parents' car. I didn't understand much of the lyrics back then, but the rhythm enchanted me. And "Being Boring" instantly became my favorite pop song. It remains in that place until today. Nowadays, I can also grasp the depth of the lyrics. It's always a great experience to listen to the music (and also watch the music video). Thank you PSB for that! :)❤
I was 14 when this was released. I had this on cassette. I loved this album. It was 1990. The future seemed so bright and full of opportunity. It really was the peak of our civilization. The 1990s were it. The culmination of the 1900s. It was all boiled down to that final decade. Everything was there. Rock, rap, hippies, goth, metal. Freedom, the end of communism, liberalism, the opening of the world to travelling en masse. It really was the best. And we completely fucked it up. We had it in the palm of our hands and let it slip away. We need to find that again. Peace yall. Never stop dancing, especially if you are 14.

Pet shop boys was my first proper love favorite band. I worshiped the ground she walked on we. Loved listening to them. Then one day for no reason she left leaving me devastated. This brings back so many memories. We rented a huge apartment on the English South Coast, and this song inspired some of our parties. We weren’t wealthy but dressed up and played the part. We didn’t have a care in the world.
Such an iconic ground breaking band. It's a risqué video for the time in which it was written bit its tasteful and beautifully put together and tells story. It blends beautifully with the music with the wonderful harmonies and minor keys giving it that sadness and feeling of emptiness . Genius!
