I’m glad you’re doing Morrowind now. I always do Fargoths quest when I start and then do the taxes quest right after. Then pick up the enchanted axe in the stump next the lighthouse.
Fargoth might be synonymous with Morrowind itself. Great video, there are lots of fun mods that add interesting consequences for helping hriskarr, or open new opprutunities. Love the creativity of morrowind modding.
Some subtle world building I only just noticed in this quest when reading the Tradehouse Notice on the bar next to Hrisskar is that Nine-holes which he admitted to playing is listed as an illegal game which is not permitted in the establishment by the rules of House Hlaalu.
@@ABardsBallad Certainly. Huge difference in actions between their homeland and their out skirting provinces. Can't wait for you to find some of the Deadric shrines, hahaha. Interested to see what you will think of them; The ones from this game are absolutely alien.
@@ABardsBallad Nah. The race designs had character to help differentiate them from each other in the world visually. In Oblivion, everyone just looks like a differently-colored potato or are having some kind of allergic reaction to something all the time. In Skyrim, everyone just looks like a piece of rough, dirty tree bark. I much prefer more obvious physical racial differences to Oblivion/Skyrim's "slightly taller" or "sounds slightly different" methods.
The fun part about this quest is it teaches you about reputation. You can decide to take the money, give it back and get 100 gold out of the 300. You can also decide to say, screw it and keep the money for yourself. Same with the ring. You can give it back but you can also just ignore him and keep it. It really embodies the "chaotic neutral". After all, why give someone who's shaking off the town for protection money, the gold? Its such a fun quest that teaches you some of the basics with the people of Morrowind.
Ah, the many many loot spots in Morrowind are why I love it so much... Here's a few curios to look out for, but I'll mention only their names.. Ibar-Dad, Druscashti and a very strange home in Ald'ruhn Plenty more to tell if you want to know! Three Blessings, serjo
I think the census office barrel respawns with loot. Don’t quote me on that though, it’s about 15 years since I last picked up Morrowind. You’re coming along nicely though! Any thoughts on which guilds you’ll be joining? Bearing in mind that some lock you out of joining others.
@@CorvoFG The mages guild doesn't lock you out of the Telvanni line. There is an optional, end game quest in the Mages Guild that has you in direct conflict with some members of the Telvanni who give quests.
@@ABardsBallad his information is half-remembered. The only conflicts between factions are the following: A late mages guild quest has you go against high level Telvanni quest givers. This quest is optional and usually you end up not being able to complete it anyway. The fighters guild and thieves guild have mutually exclusive quests so you have to avoid doing those or do them in a certain order. If you don't then you cannot become master of both guilds. You can only join one Great House, but a glitch allows you to become a member of House Hlaalu in addition to one of the other ones. You can only join one Vampire clan. Otherwise, all factions are compatible with each other, you'll just have to deal with the various disposition modifiers from each faction
this quest is so iconic
It was really cool to get to playthrough its entirety!
Fargoth: “I have the right to remain silent!”
Hrisskar: “Not in Vvardenfell you don’t.”
😂 anything goes in Vvardenfell lol
I’m glad you’re doing Morrowind now. I always do Fargoths quest when I start and then do the taxes quest right after. Then pick up the enchanted axe in the stump next the lighthouse.
I wish you could tell Fargoth that Hriskar is trying to sniff him out.
That would’ve been a really cool option!
My poor little fella 😢
He didn't do anything wrong.
Fargoth deserved better, pouring one out for the homie
I never ever helped Hrisskar in a run
You're making the most exciting elder scrolls content on UA-cam right now. Always a good feeling to see a new upload.
I really appreciate the kind words! As long as you folks find it interesting that’s all that matters!

I appreciate the support! Very cool to hear about all of those mods!

I hope you enjoy it! Plenty to come otherwise!
The Bard drops another one! Love the videos!
I really appreciate the support! I hope you liked this one!
Ah, it looks so much better with brightness up👍

Progressing along at a great pace friend. Poor Fargoth, those Imperial dogs are greedy!
I’m glad to hear it! Everything just interests me so much in this game! 😂 a very different vibe between the imperials in this game and in oblivion!

And there is always the option to give him the ring, take the reward, and then just steal the ring back to end up with both.
Even the people from hackdirt look attractive compared to fargoth
😂 very true, they honestly did wood elves dirty in this game lol

The bearded Bosmer face still appears in my dreams for some reason 💀
Ah, a better fantasy story about rings in our current fantasy environment.
Definitely a solid ring story 😂

do the Oblivion and Morrowind character builds
I’d definitely love to one day!
My boy is back with more Morrowind. 🎉🎉
I hope you enjoyed it my friend! :)
I look out for my boy Fargoth and put some extra gold in there for him.
heck yeah another morrowind video!
I love these videos so much.
I’m really glad to hear it! I hope they continue to deliver!

Nice little side story 👍
A fresh one, just posted this afternoon! Mmm, enjoy that fresh video smell.
Haha I hope you enjoyed the video! :)
Well done!😉👍
I appreciate it! :)
I wonder if you have a water shader turned off? Water looks like just a texture and there was definitely better looking water in default game ^^
So sad I cried. Twice.
The easiest quest line in the game!
Definitely felt like it!
@@ABardsBallad Also, don’t forget the dead tax collector quest. Fun Fact: you don’t have to return the gold on his body.
@@Digidragon55 its neat how both of these early quests give the player the option of 'not completing' the quest for better overall rewards
Thank you for your video
Bosmer are so wacky. There weren't nearly enough of them in Skyrim, and the ones that were there were mostly boring
They really are 😂 and honestly so true, off the top of my head I remember like 2 of them in the game lol
Who is Gancicle from the note to Hrisskar?

Ahh that’s very interesting actually! And wow I had no idea! Honestly that changes things for which guild I’ll join, most likely mages guild for sure!
@@ABardsBalladThat’ll lock you out of the Telvani line. It’s quite an easy line but for a first play, I’d stick with the mages.

No containers respawn in Morrowind except the plants and the Fighter/Mages Guild chests
