  • We are moving forward from Common Factor Factorisation - to Factorising Quadratics. First of all, we look at factorising two-term quadratics (common factor, difference of two squares and those that have ‘no simpler form’ - N.S.F.)
Then we move on to FULL QUADRATIC FACTORISATION.
Our pupils have just completed an Interactive Animated Quiz which allowed them to skip explanations when they got the question correct. So we are following on from that, but we are still just doing the basics and we are still sticking to the ‘by-sight’ method. Later on, we'll learn how to use the ‘QUADRANOMIAL’ method for really-hard-to-factorise quadratics - but not just YET!
These "LESSON PRIMERS" are designed to engage our pupils with the material before the lesson begins; setting the stage for deeper learning and discussion in the classroom. So, these videos aren't really intended to be used without the rest of our multi-faceted le
