- We enjoy being on dirt road after traveling the Pan-American Highway As we head towards Colca Canyon, which is an unexpected tourist destination, but we take in the views, and then continue our search for propane. We end up finding a pretty cool camp for the night at the Kanamarka Ruins.

You know it's gonna be a good day when another Dirt Sunrise video is posted.
Cheers!
Seeing these ruins, really makes me think about the way of life these people lived, and the technologies they developed to make their lives sustainable.....
That was awesome love the Cobblestone buildings.
👍 👍 What a wonderful video about Kanamarca. I didn't know it existed, Thanks 👍 👍
A drone shot of those ruins wouldve been dope.
Agreed!
So awesome, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
This just gets better and better
That town ruin was fantastic, thanks for walking us through it.
Shane, glad you liked it, I was bummed the sound was bad on those clips. Such a neat place.
what a cool place and I watched it to the end lol
Haha! Glad you came along
Recomendation: Probably it is too late because you are not in Peru anymore, but that kind of small gas tank is not common in Peru. Refilling is not common as well. The used method is exchange our empty tank for a another full tank of Propane Gas. The size is bigger than yours. People in Peru cooked a lot at home. Probably refilling is somewhere in big cities as Lima or Arequipa, but never heard of it
Thanks Carlos! If we had more room I think we would have bought a local tank. Thankfully next week we find a refill. :-)
Nice episode.
Thanks Shawn!
Thank you for reminding me how wonderful traveling is as I (and many others) are still stranded! Never thought I would still be living vicariously through you guys after I left on my trip.
Being stranded has to be tough. Hopefully soon things will mellow. We have some friends stranded in Honduras and others in Buenos Aires and some in Ecuador. No fun to be on lock down. Hang in there!!
@@DirtSunrise I've come to the conclusion that continuing south this year is likely not in the cards so starting to plan a return drive to California. It sucks, but I know I'm not alone in making this type of decision. Will just have to restart the trip in a year or two.
I agree it is always a good day when we get to see what you two nutters are up too. Come downunder we miss you
That sounds like a plan! As soon as the world goes back to normal we may have to!
For so many years I have wanted to overland South America, but have had my apprehensions. But you make it seem so possible. #gainingthecourage:)
You can do it!
Kanamarka is a super spot !! if you had come at the right time there would be a huge festival
That would be amazing
@@DirtSunrise there are some hidden gems around there Thanks for the share I hope your needs are met
Hey.... Check you guys out !!! 👍🏻😁❤️ Living your dreams.
Stay far away from the night mares. ✨
Love the spectacular canyons. Great captures on the video. Watching these can make one re examine their own past experiences.
Stay well and safe. 🙂🦜
It's a beautiful world! Thanks!
I straddle the threshold at my age, but thanks for the reinforcement.
🙂🌎🙂
It must be tiring keeping up with Tim, he walks so fast!
Somethings wrong with me. It's like I think every hike is a race. Haha!
@@DirtSunrise Typical American, tries to turn everything into a competition!
@@rufant6110 Haha tell me about it! I have learned to just go at my own pace. Tim gets so excited to see what's ahead he can't help it.
Make me wonder where did they get all the stones. How are you guys doing?
Right! They sure seem to find a lot of them when they need to. haha!
Doing well, just looking forward to the world going back to normal so we can work and then figure out what continent is next!
Dillon, I was wondering the exact same thing as we wandered around...bummed I couldn't find more info on the ruins.
Is that a volcano plum at 1:15?
Yes! I was wishing I'd mentioned that when we saw it. It almost became commonplace on this trip to see semi-dormant volcanos shooting plumes of smoke into the air.
