I made the tikkis following this recipe and it came out really nice.. I didn't add eggs at all, wanted to make it absolutely veg and used flaxseed meal instead of cashew powder, it was really good. Absolutely not.😅 Cabbage - 1cup shredded have 3.2gm carb. Almond powder have 0.5gm per teaspoon 3 Egg have 1.5gm Carb 6gm garlic have 1.5gm carb Ginger have carbs.. So many masalas she has added..but it would be close.
I think you’d be okay with cashew flour. The recipe uses a handful of cashews. Considering a handful is about an ounce, which is about 20g of carbs, when we factor in that this recipe makes 14 servings it’s not a lot of added carbs per serving.

i love this recipe but the nett carbs can't be right. From checking around on the internet, i get this: Am I doing something wrong? I deducted fiber from total carbs to get nett carbs. ie Carbs - fibre = nett carbs Item Nett Carbs 1 medium sized cabbage 29.77 1 tbsp ghee for seasoning 0 1 tsp ginger powder 1.07 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic salt to taste 2.58 1 and half tsp pepper powder 1.24 a pinch of turmeric powder say 1 g 0.45 1/4 tsp garam masala say 1.5g 0.4 1/2 tsp red chilly powder 1.16 3 whole eggs , large 1.16 1 handful of almond coarsely ground say 30g 2.42 ghee for frying say 1 cup 0 TOTAL NETT CARBS 40.25 If 14 servings, NETT CARBS per serving is 2.875 still a great recipe, but need to watch your consumption, maybe eat 2 and save the rest for later.
NICE! I never thought about replacing the potato in potato pancakes with cabbage. I have been on KETO for a year and a half. Obviously you can season and flavor it any way you like. So we just need the eggs and almond flour to bind and add in whatever herds and spices correct? I have never used almond flour or coconut flour. Are they they best binders or are there any other low carb products that are wheat flour substitutes that we can use?????
If you want to lose fat, you shouldn't compromise your well-being with the keto diet. I recommend getting a personalized diet. I've had great success with the Agoge diet for example.

Butter in comparison with ghee has a lower smoke point hence it gets burnt quickly on high heat. Ghee or coconut oil are stable even at higher temperatures, therefore prefered for seasoning and frying. Use butter as a topping not for frying/ seasoning
Coconut flour holds water so in my opinion the cutlets may break and won't bind. I'm not sure about freezing it after adding eggs, may b u can freeze without adding eggs
I tried adding flax seeds powder instead of the almond powder turned out very well. Flax seed helped in binding the mixture. Give it a try!

I used oats flour for binding...it came out perfectly yummy gave a nice shape... And Fried in 1 tsp oil on nonstick pan.
Oats increase the carb content, nonstick cookware are harmful for health, oil you can use in more quantity

Ketogenic is the right word. Adding eggs adds to sufficient protein content and also helps in binding

hey, u added garlic and ginger and masala , that amounts to min 60grams of carbs wid added ingredients . its low carb , n wont b a keto meal .
