      I make Swedish Braided Coffeebread, my grandmothers recipe. I haven't been able to master a GF version of it yet so I wanted to try these rolls for my husband. Will 1 to 1 GF flour work for the dough on this recipe? They look scrumptious.

    Did anyone else gasp when the butter spilled out of the big cast iron? I was like - OH NO!!!!! Wasting yummy buttery goodness on the towel! They also look so delish!

    My 5 year old (yes, FIVE!) is obsessed with your channel, and so am I! We have been binge watching your videos and so far have started our sour dough starter, made three loaves of the no-knead artisan bread, and tonight we are making these cinnamon rolls with the other half of our dough! So excited!

    I have been making your artisan bread for a while. In fact, I made a loaf and some huckleberry butter for Christmas Eve (big hit). I made these cinnamon rolls for Christmas breakfast. So delicious and so easy with the make ahead bread dough.

    Melissa I love that you show us your method live like this, proving that you are human like we are! These look so good I can't stand it! I make a Christmas morning quiche each year, which for some reason always takes forever to bake ... but everyone loves it! Merry Christmas!

      Well what can I say ,I got up at six wanting to surprise family it was a Hit!!! I didn’t have as much as I wanted left from my refrigerated artisan base so the roll was smaller so they weren’t as big around ...but.... the flavor I N C R E D I B L E ,sinfully delicious and a keeper for us! So happy I came across your site, guess I will be investing in HANDMADE TODAY...,HAPPY EASTER

    Thanks Melissa they look so good! I make mine with raisins but I know my daughter would prefer the chocolate if I let her know that was an option lol. I use dental floss to cut.

    I made them today but used walnuts not chocolate. They are good. The other 1/2 of the dough is baking in the over as bread! I love this recipe.

    The artisan bread doesn't have the eggs, butter, or sugar in the dough. Is that ok? Or are you supposed to add it in somewhere? Thanks

    Melissa.....When you make the cinnamon rolls and want to bake right away (not over night it) do you let the dough rise and for how long before baking?

      I noticed your comment is from a year ago...but if you pull her video up real close you can read the label and I bought these from Amazon. There are different sizes...I start with the large one ane after using half the dough I transfer to a smaller bowl (don't have much room in my frig. But just zoom her video up close to the bowl and read the label.

    Yummmy recIpe however, I have never left any food too long or overnight in cast iron. I find it gives the food a weird taste. I would however use stainless

    Hi Melissa - I've made these now three times per the printable recipe. Each time I had to add more flour to get a dough consistency -- almost as those it has too much liquid. When you consider 2 cups of water and milk (combined), plus an egg and 1/2 cup butter -- the ratio of liquid to 3 3/4 c flour just seems off... Do I have the liquid portion wrong? Thanks!

      Hi Karen, it looks when we added the printable card for the non master dough recipe, the liquid was in error, it should be 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup milk. I just got it updated. Sorry about that typo.

      @@MelissaKNorris Good to know, thanks Melissa! I found that if I added some flour, refrigerated the dough overnight, then next day it was easy to work with... just cooked at a slightly higher temp and watched it closely. Looking forward to the next time with less water. Blessings!
