- This trip takes me south into Dumfries, looking for a high camp in the Moffat Hills. Its always nice to visit new areas but its also sad when you lose a bit of kit on the trail.. Unfortuntely for me - on this occasion, it was my hiking cap.. My beloved hiking cap.. oh well.. could have been worse.. could have been my marbles..
Thank you for watching

Good shows it. My it’s so beautiful - the open view hillsides and hilltops are my favorite thing. Great vide captures too!
Thank you for your lovely message 😊☺️
So beautiful!
I love the music you chose for this video. And it amazes me how you know where you're going when I can't see an obvious path.
Thank you very much... It is one of the hardest parts of editing - choosing the appropriate music. 😁
Really good compilation. You’re some guy!! You get about.
Cheers Ron 🙂

Nice one Jim. Enjoyed as always. Gordon
Cheers Gordon.. it made a change for me to head to a different area - I need to do more exploring... 🤜🤛
@BoredManOutdoors me too! Not done much down there but I always enjoy Dave from Border Ramblers videos
Spectacular Mim! And the Northern Lights too xxx
Fank u mummy x
Great video!
Thank you 👍
You really do find some majestic places travelling around. A chance to buy a new travel hat, you can't have too many.
Thank you. I've managed not to rush out to buy a new hat.. these things need time.. 😁
Ey up Jimbo, stunning mate, what an epic trip and camp. Some stunning views there and great to see a different area.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend
All the best 😀🥾⛰🏕️🏴🏴
Cheers Dave.. possibly closer to you than me? 🤜🤛😎
@@BoredManOutdoors Haha, yeah you’re probably right there Jimbo. 🤣
Scotland is truly spectacular!
It truly is.. I was out again early this morning and whilst it didn't exactly go to plan - Still delivered with great beauty... 😊😊😊
Hate losing hats...it's a pain in the arse...not so much the money, but on a walk you may need it...least you had yer buff! Nice seeing a video on the borders/galloway for a change...done loads of walking down there...cheers!
Thank you Martin, I'll definitely be back down again soon.. I thoroughly enjoyed the horseshoe walk... Once I'd got up there 😁.. cheers Sir. 😎😎😎
Oh dear Lord my fear of heights kicked when you went to that viewing point (about 4mins in) felt myself getting dizzy and had to cover my eyes!!! Was scared for you, won’t lie! lol phew!!! 😂😮😅
Haa.. yes, same for Mrs Boredman too.. she says.. you wouldn't get me up there... 😁😁😁😁😂
I loved the music you chose, always a good time!!!
Thank you very much 👍👍👍👍
Que hermoso lugar, espero conocerlo algún día y si no es así, gracias por compartirlo es bellísima, así imaginaba como era Narnia cuando leí los libros ❤❤😊😊❤❤❤😊❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you... I think there are places in Scotland that look very much like Narnia.. we had snow last night too.... Thank you for your lovely message. 😊
I remember when I lost a treasured beanie hat years ago 😢. It was not a particular design, but it was so comfy! I just hope whoever found it gave it a good home! 😭
On the positive side however, those hill views were breathtaking! And those foggy starts to the day, so atmospheric ❤
Oh Lisa, I hope Cap McCapster has a new warm comfy drawer to live in.. just needs a wash.. 😉.. I agree with the walking in mist too. Once you get your head round it, and that you're not going to get views... It's all good walking.. and requires different senses... Thank you 😊
Ahhh my neck of the woods! One of my favourite routes is the hartfell horseshoe. So many great pitching spots too. Fantastic video. Well captured bud. ATVB Robert
Thank you Robert.. Twas tough going with the full pack but a lovely evening, if not a little chilly.. next time you're out, keep a look out for Cap McCapster please. 👊👊👊
@@BoredManOutdoors aye I will do. I’ll ask my mates at the mountain rescue if they’ve spotted it. Hills get used weekly for training
@@Moffatmountainadventures ahhh spot on - cheers pal.. it'll be hanging on a post somewhere... 🤞
@@Moffatmountainadventures it would be a great story... Moffat Mountain Rescue save Cap.. 😁
Hi Jim, feeling rough from Cross Roads Tuning in, sorry for your loss and had to do the rest of the journey Baht’at,
Least you managed to get some good weather, was nice down here yesterday, but winter is well on the way, hoping to get out maybe next weekend so fingers crossed 🤞 all the best TtT 😎
TtT - are you under the weather Sir? Hope it's nothing too serious and just beer flu.. 😞... Very cold now, snow overnight on'tops... Needed wool yat this morning.. 🥶.. I'll keep an eye out for your video.. I've still to catch up with your last one.. that pie looked larvleeee... 😎
@@BoredManOutdoors only self inflicted from yesterdays shannagins, the pie was just representative, I film ale trails on my iPhone as it’s easier and less risk of losing my go pro when the ale kicks in.
I will try get it on here tomorrow.
Yes it’s definitely on the turn now, but still lots of fun to be had, I went to Dumfries with Oakbank, quite liked it 👍

Hi! Another great adventure with a fantastic view as always. Sorry to hear about your hiking cap. Take care!
Thank you... My only hope is someone picked it up and gave it a good home... Too cold for a cap to be out alone... 😌
@@BoredManOutdoors Aww, your heart's in the right place! Hopefully, someone with good intentions, just like you, picked it up and gave it a warm home. Cheers to that!
I feel ur pain, plenty more caps in the sea
I find most of my hats when I'm out in the hills...never had to buy a new hat in years lol
I know.. but it was my cap... I'm still mourning 😉
😉 I found a fancy NY one once. It's still in my drawer, never worn it. I should give it someone worthy. It's a nice discreet black number. 😊
Sometimes life can be cruel to those least deserving - really sorry to hear about your loss pal. I too recently had to part ways with a knit beanie who fell afoul of shrinkage due to too high wash temps. There's no replacement and nothing else will ever be as good, I'm just thankful for the times we did share. I hope you can rest easy knowing it could be providing shelter to a family of field mice, or finally gives a shy stag enough style and confidence to ask out his sweetheart doe.
You get it don't you Nick... It's obvious from your detailed post.. Don't get me going on the wash temperatures... OMG... I went on line to see if I could find a replacement but couldn't do it... That was MY cap.. Mr Cap McCapster.. I hope Cap is not still out there... Thank you Nick. 👌
Cracking loop the Hart Fell Horseshoe. Well done as there's a lot of hills in that area that are steep as f@@k 😖
😂😂😂 very f@@king steep 😎
