Hello! Jordan here. My wife Vivien and I sent the box from Poland. Nope, it doesn't have to do with the German meetup! We were from the US and Poland. We got married in Vancouver! (And the city we used to live in is named Szczecin, prounounced 'SHTEH-chin', or at least that's as close to the proper pronunciation as most native English speakers can get.) We're glad Penelope loves her pillow! And yes, Vivien managed to get *three* master's degrees during the pandemic. (The 'certificate' she mentions is treated as a master's degree in North America, due to the difficulties invoved in getting it.)
I need one of those owls. what is the brand name? :D
Vivien sounds like an incredible person! That’s so many postgrad qualifications.
Hell yeah Vivien!
@@allaninduni4861 Alas, I don't remember! I'm so sorry!
"P.S. I feel bad for you" is the kind of thing only a child can get away with writing, but accurately describes something that adults frequently need to find a less blunt way to say. To live in a world where I could write something like that and know that it'd be taken at face value.
I guess we know the answer now of "when will you wear wigs?"
30:11 That persona cue was perfect lmao
Hey! This is Woogachaka/Ben! The answer to "are they latin characters?" is Yes!(kinda) normally called the "roman alphabet"
I like how the ciphers look! They remind me of how my partner knows Elian script and as a calming activity, writes swoopy sentences in the script
@@helenm1085 thank you! They're always a fun puzzle, though best done by, or with input of, the recipient. Wasn't an option this time, but I tried my best
"Graham Reads Out Words" is my favourite recurring LRR segment and the wig section reduced me to a giggling wreck.
10/10 no notes
Those wigs had the most SEO'd names. 🤣
the 'logo with gun' bit earned my like a thousand times over
As someone who lives here, Texas's obsession with state-shaped items is honestly baffling but that mug has now taken the #1 spot on my list of terrible Texas-shaped items. It replaces the almost as useless Texas-shaped cutting board, which is just a bunch of narrow sticky-outy bits on a too-small cutting surface. At least the Texas-shaped blocks of cheese are edible (as is the Texas-shaped pasta)...
at least it keeps the Hubris export statement true...
Block Island really is nice! We plan to return and find an orb.
When you do make sure you ponder it thoroughly xD
15:46 "air gapped computer" Thank you so much for saying that. As soon as Graham read "thumb drive" in the note, I got worried that you would insert it into your normal computer. *huge* cyber security risk.
Absolutely. It's not just the drive. There are a number of document formats that are and have been exploitable. A safe sandbox could make for a good TTSF project though...
Though seeing the content of the box I suddenly understand why customs looked at it. A thumb drive and a bunch of apparently coded messages being sent abroad by someone who likely does academic research near if not directly on restricted topics.
honestly, as long as it came with a Beejdrop, I don't think many of us would question a mailed Beej-in-a-Box
That explains Paul asking what those 3d printed stat trackers were a couple months ago in Discord. The time loop has been closed.
Block Island is a small island that is east of Long Island, south of Connecticut and Rhode Island (mainland). It really is a wonderful place to go during the summer. My Boy Scout troop went there for 2 weeks every summer when i was growing up.
The scenic barfight and the orb collection and the maze of trails that is literally a maze is all very Therpston County and N'sburg
My mother quilts a lot, A LOT. I've been trying to convince her to make one for Desert Bus one year.
"Rock, made with love." sounds like a very Torg line
The white, blue, and orange tiles in the background make me think of a vanguard shader.
"Dur-ham" made me lol. Especially coming from Gram ;)
We have to say it like that over the phone so people spell it correctly.
Ohio, or West Virginia are probably the roundest states. Other than the bit that shoots up to pittsburgh West Virginia almost makes a perfect cup with a handle being the part that sticks out into Virginia and Maryland.
Yay Mail time!
Jordynne, excellent editing as always.
Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart is actually super fun and fast-paced. It greatly simplifies the base rules of Monopoly, as well as introducing racing for the various Cups and giving each game piece its own special mechanics (with an expansion pack available with more characters). I can honestly say that it's the only Monopoly-style game that I enjoyed playing without house rules.
Graham as Canadian surfer Link.
To me, it looked like blonde Dave's Spokesman.
"Poland? And what?" really got me
8:40 this feels like a showcase showdown bit and I love it
its always so interesting seeing rhode island mentioned anywhere! my state is usually very ignored
I'm getting flashbacks to Whose Line... "Welcome to Rhode Island. Thank you for visiting Rhode Island."
Rhodies represent!
We really enjoyed Block Island! Didn't get to spend much time in RI proper, but we did hit an Escape Room before our flight home. Good trip!
I look forward to an upcoming Loading Ready Live segment of "Fill This Room With Hair"
4:30 oh man, Graham got soooo close to nailing a "let me get in a New York State of Mind" song reference, I was sad
Very curious about that smoked potato salad from the Texas Bragging Rights. That sounds amazing!
Thank you for the warning!
"Bald Graham Jumpscare" the Gatekeeper/Grapekeeper crossover we never knew we wanted
Beej: OH GOOD KITTY! OH MY GOD!
I know this was recorded 5ever ago relatively speaking, and that you're now in the new Moonbase, but if you haven't gotten to it yet: As somebody who owns the full set I can affirm that Sakura Arms is absolutely amazing and extremely easy to play once you get over the initial learning hurdle.
I did not expect Owen Wilson to visit :o
that wig is *so* JRPG Protagonist. XD
spider crab can see into my soul
I wonder if that island has either given up on replacing signs or makes a fat amount of money doing inspections when leaving the island for their signs and then issues tickets
30:06 just ruined me, well done Jordan
*Jordynne
Seconding
8:44 This is 100% a Dave's Spokesman pitch. 😆
Mail Time, starring Box, box, box, and box.
0:43 The "Not for long" is, for some reason, not unexpected.
Putting moldy bricks on your food packaging certainly is a choice
@28:46 "Everyone knows about Mississippi, God damn!"
I think designing 3D prints for things like that would be a really fun job. I have all the skills required to do it but living in Western Australia I suspect shipping costs would make it unviable. Though I guess I could design the items and someone more local could print them. Thats something I'll have to look into, because I know people sell STL's and I've had exactly the same thought pretty much every time I've ever played a board game.
Like Texas that mug is also barely functional.
ok the blond "surfer" wig gives me more "berries and cream" vibes, its interesting.
21:01 Yay trains!
The big KDM sleaves are probably for the location in your settlement.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Blond wig content I didn't know I needed. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
G unfortunately doing an unintentional Michael Fabricant tribute with that wig there.
Fun Fact: Rhode Island is not an Island.
people order our patties
Rhode Island is a smaller island than Block Island by virtue of being not at all an island.
Anyone got a VOD link for that Innistrad hat stipulation draft?
As I recall, it was on MTGO Academy. I don't have a link off hand, but that's where I'd start looking.
The Shaw or Shavian alphabet isn't actually arabic or latin; it's an original alphabet designed specifically for the English language. It's maybe the only native alphabet for English.
Yeah; I think they were discussing what alphabet English normally uses (which is Latin for letters and Arabic for numerals, as was said).
For people unfamiliar with the geography of the United States: the name of the state of Rhode Island is in fact not literal, it just borders the ocean (and contains some number of islands). It would make a horrible coffee mug.
The state of Rhode Island does however contain an island named Rhode Island.
Hello, I'm Lawrence Olivier. I've been DEAD for over three _years_ now. But through the Marvelous Technology of t-ape ed.It-ing I'm able to speak to you from beyond the GRAVE.
I have never heard that thing referenced _anywhere_. Nice, Beej
cheers from pa
8 month old mail time? :O
Vampire the Eternal Struggle a deckmaster game. I hope you folks can play it sometime on AFK
My first thought seeing the thumbnail is “why is the actor who played Father Ted alive again and why is he on mailtime?”
No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! DON'T SEND BEEJ TO MY HOUSE!!! PLEASE! I LIKE HIM AND HEATHER, AND I DON'T WANT THEM TO SEE THE SHITEHOLE I CALL AN ABODE!!!! (Besides, I don't think either of them are certified to use a bulldozer, wrecking ball, or explosives! Well, at least not Beej.)
I think it's safe to assume Heather will use explosives, certified or no...
@@lancetruesdell7093 Oooooooo... that's even worse. My city is already on my butt, and they're a stickler for paperwork. They won't like her using explosives without permits. Not having the proper certifications will only make matter worse. It's like getting five feet in front of a bull to moon it.
30:37, Being a 7th Generation Californian Born in Texas, I have a /deep/ need for this cross stitch.
28:31 not this??
I've never been this early. Cool.
You'll have to get one of those address blocking stamps to avoid blurring it in post. Or not. Whatever's quicker I guess.
One UA-camr I watch puts (washi) tape over them.
This video is so hairy. Except for the bits that are smooth
I think West Virginia is the roundest state
24:45 Sorry Beej you didn't. But you did your best. cz in polish is one special letter.
Liking for hair
The babies and children might try to put the bag on your head
Hair!
Nice hair, and also lack thereof
