This man alone is doing what lego has failed to do for many years for a medieval series: great designs in different sizes and price points "plus" (this is important) a story to connect them them all. Bravo to you sir!
They have actually released quite a few medieval or fantasy sets, so I indeed wonder why can't they just release the whole theme, the demand is clearly there. I would argue that kids are also interested, not just AFOLs. But I'm not a manager at Lego, I can only do so much :)
I like that there is a reference to the encampment set already built into the mountain fortress and I think this video was very effective at showing all the separate parts of the set but still tbh would prefer if it was it’s own series of 8 or so smaller sets.
I would be delighted if Lego released a series of Castle sets like in good old days but for now we can only count on Bricklink. And with their rules it was only possible to have a single set.
Hoping that your castle works will be on lego ideas too. I'm a fan of your sets and would love to buy one but sadly, bricklink does not ship to my country.. :(
I'm stoked. I just finished assembling my Mountain Fortress over the holidays. You put so much work into that set, I felt privileged to get a copy! Hopefully I can grab one of these before it sells out next month--!
Był pomysł żeby dodać taran i nawet został zaprojektowany ale zrezygnowaliśmy z niego, bo nie ma jak go użyć przeciwko zamkowi Lwów. Może wrzucę instrukcję na Rebrickable 😉
I liked a narrow span of the Lion Nights, with the Yellow or Blue backgrounds, but when the Maine was darkened it seemed to suggest a militant corruption of the kingdom, yet it makes the Falcons & Forest Men more sympathetic (especially if you include the 80/90s Dragon & Bull factions!).
I remember getting the mountain Fortress and the first couple pages of instructions up until bag I believe six were very annoying. So I hope that the siege camp comes together much better. Also, I wonder if the tribute and the catapult actually work. I would be very happy if they do.
Was watching another video and saw this beautiful picture below, but the Channel Name won me over since i usually wake up by 3am so i can get a couple hours Lego before leaving for work at 6. Thankfully it's Saturday (and there's a Blizzard going on) so shouldn't be any Lego disruption...
I love what the bricklink designer program intended but to be honest this set particularly because it goes with the lions knight castle should have been upgraded to an Ideas type set. These are like 4-5 of the smaller sets people have been asking for but in this program the minis do not have the parts to make them really unique or appropriate in some cases. Now I expect little from LEGO to officially do anything like this again. And with so many classic castle projects filling the program something seems off.
Actually the Bricklink program works fine because little kids aren't interested in castle anymore. Adults are mainly buying them, hence, the larger piece counts.
@@studebricker2845 love the name btw. I disagree with that take cause Kids arent the lego demographic as much anymore. AFOLS are! Hence we need a castle Theme. If anything says that more look at the Wolf pack CMF
Agreed its a call out to Lego to bring a new Castle line out. With bricklink, Lego should see the data on castle figs an sets. Especially the BDP ones. An how about the craze for the Wolfpack CMF.
@@studebricker2845 if it was working fine there would not be the complains I and others have about the excessive amount of castle filling the program up when it should be for more niche things lego would never build like actual art pieces and it should be taking care of its own themes. just like it does not allow people to design star wars sets or every submission would be 3 star ships. There is a huge market for castle and if parents were savy would be investing in pure themes instead of IP sets. It is a timeless theme any child or adult of any age can appreciate. The larger detail is appreciated and the success of the new release, but as pointed out also for kids that dont like big builds then having something like the siege camp broken into 4-5 smaller sets makes a lot of sense that way too.
@@SticklerBricks Just yesterday I saw a 9yo (or something like that) boy scanning CMFs in search of the wolf, so all is not lost 😆 Or maybe he was looking for a birthday gift to his father?
@@Lux-rg4wv I’m no historian but it seems that catapults come in various sizes. Perhaps Lego decided to keep it small to lower the piece count. That’s my guess. Regardless, it appears that the trebuchet and the seige towers are the main selling points.
@@vietrounder That's interesting. I will buy this set for the field kitchen, herbalist, animals, figures, and workshop. I could go without a siege tower and certainly, I could go without a trebuchet, tents, and catapult :)
The catapult can be small as it uses spring energy of rubber elements. Larger size would only make it more fragile. The trebuchet must be larger, because it uses a counterweight and this counterweight really has to be substantial. It's exactly the same with their historical counterparts. Catapults were generally much smaller than trebuchets, that in turn were massive. One cow was indeed removed during efforts to make the set more affordable. But then a few other animals were added instead, a grey goat, a sheep, a lamb and others. There are also 18 minifigs in the final set instead of the 9 from the original submission. There's also the option to switch factions, all necessary parts added to the set (except for the minifigs, as we would have to add another 12 or so...). There are generally more features than in the original submission, while the piece count is slightly lower, and thus price was not inflated.
You know that is a special run right? If you made biscuits and you allowed you customers to make their own biscuits using your machines you would not tell them to make more biscuits than you or you would not reallly have a business. 30k is pretty generous. But it should be one set per household as so many buy to resell.
Instructions will be free online, so you're welcome to do it! I can especially recommend the trebuchet, the palisades and the tents. The catapult works surprisingly well too 😉

Put this man in charge of Lego Castle.
That would be EPIC!
I have mixed feelings about corporate jobs. Plus in Billund the weather in July is the same as in November 🤣 Maybe if it was a remote work...
Agreed
Amazing video to introduce lego fans to this siege encampment set!
Brilliant advertisement for a well made set. 👍🏼
It brings a tear to my eye to see this coming out. I’m so excited
You do amazing work! Thank you for sharing your passion with the rest of the world. You are a true artist and a modern Renaissance individual.
That may be a little far-fetched but thank you! 😆
so glad to know other falconers out there. Always been my fav faction
What a video…
Must resist, must resist, it’s very expensive but not sure I can resist 😂
This was amazing. Excellent way to promote the set
Nice way of telling a story and displaying the recent castle sets at the same time!
This video is epic, the lions knights will have hard times..
Your designs in Bricklink Designer Program are top of the top! Looking forward for the pre-order! 🤩
when you pack a full theme into two sets because Lego doesn't want to make a medieval theme
They have actually released quite a few medieval or fantasy sets, so I indeed wonder why can't they just release the whole theme, the demand is clearly there. I would argue that kids are also interested, not just AFOLs. But I'm not a manager at Lego, I can only do so much :)

I didn't know you also did stop-motion animation! Very well put together video! Great Job!
I also only learned two weeks ago! Now I appreciate your work even more 👏
You have my sword! ❤
LION KNIGHTS STAY STRONG!
This just makes me want more episodes of a fantasy world like this
This is amazing. Cannot wait to buy this day one thanks for designing it!
So so so hyped for this release
Wielkie dzięki za te zestawy na BrickLink. Robisz niesamowitą robotę! Pozdro ;)
Cała przyjemność po mojej stronie 😀
Amazing, I was not thinking of getting any of this series, but this video is making me want to get the your set
man wish we had a lego fantasy game, an rts like age of empires, or simmilar
that would be so cool!
My favorite lego designer. I can’t wait to pick this and Dracula’s castle up
Ohhh didn't realise you had a YT channel.. subbed to the legend!!!
Amazing, inspirational work.. the builds, and the storytelling/video!
Can't wait to grab that one! Thanks!
Great video! Looking forward to pre ordering the set! Well done!

Ok that was awesome :)
For Gondor! 🙂 OK, now I want it even more.
Fantastic video 😊
First off bad ass film. Secondly the black falcons don’t have a snowballs chance in hell to beat the lion Knights
Fun. Looks like a lot of work.
Did I see a Series 7 submission in there? Great work, always!
Not really, maybe a very remote hint of it at one point - provided I can even finish on time!
@SleeplessNightBrickslet the other have a chance too hahaha
I'm getting two. Very nice move with the second set of stickers for Lion Knights.
I thought this looked familiar, I will definitely be purchasing one
Awesome 😃
amazing video
1:31 ... it is THE goat!!! 😲
Yes, and it gets sacrificed for the righteous endeavor at the end 😯
I hope I can get my hands on this set during preorder
You better be waiting the second it opens for orders. The last bdp castle set (forest stronghold) sold out in less than 4 hours.
Как-же круто сделал !!!😮😊😊

So good!
Amazing!
What happened to king Theoden at the end? 😅
He just donated his armor and helmet and left with a sense of duty well done!
@ 🥰
Great! ❤️ Any plans for instructions for village and town (apart from blacksmith) buildings?
I thought about makig instructions for some medieval buildings but it's a long way from video-ready facade to a real set, so it will take some time!
와 제가 첫번째네요 이번 펀딩 제품에 마운틴포트리스에서 실린 쿠네군데 스토리가 계속 이어지는데 너무 좋아요.
Are you going to sell the instructions?
Instructions will be available free online at the time when the set is delivered.
5:24 why is Mr gold there?
Because everyone is invited to support the righteous edeavor with what they have most valuable - he has himself!
@SleeplessNightBricks lol
@SleeplessNightBricks wait so they disassemble his body ?or is he now part of the black falcon army?
@SleeplessNightBricks The tax collector ?
team Black Falcons!
Why the catapult is so small, and trebuchet so large? Why the number of cows was reduced from two to one?
maybe because Lego said so
