From the UK and work seconded me to Jackson Mississippi for 5 weeks. 1st thing I was told was not to walk around Jackson by myself as it's one of the most dangerous cities in the world.
Whoever told that, told you a lie. It’s one of the most dangerous cities in US but not in the world.

Thank you for this video of Jackson. Grow up here my whole life everything you showed I have done and enjoyed but the alcohol and clubs. The ones that say do go, we are not missing you bye, also there’s no country or state I will walk around by myself that’s just not wise to do, it’s not that I’m a Jackson homer, I have been all over the United States from California to New York, Tennessee, Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, and there’s no place like when I come home to Jackson

Did most of these when I lived in Jackson MS but how could you forget 1) Mynelle Gardens 2) The Mississippi Black (and other rodeos) at the Coliseum and 3) The Annual State Fair. I almost never missed it in the 22 years I lived in Jackson. I also miss fishing at the Rez!

Best thing to do in Jackson MS? Get the hell out of town, and don't tear you car up on a pot hole.\
The water situation hasn't changed. They just stopped talking about it. These people believe they've been drinking it this long n it hasn't killed them yet, there's nothing wrong with it. The infrastructure was installed in 1888. You tell me, how is the water getting to homes & businesses. We still going to restaurants cooking with this water.
I grew up in Jackson. It’s fine to do these things but keep your car locked and watch your back, oh, and don’t let the water in your mouth. The mayor is the leader of a gang based in Jackson and the governor of Mississippi is a member of the klan. It’s best you steer clear.

the best place to go is Natchez ! Jackson is a crime ridden slum.
I live outside of Jackson and there is nothing nice about the city it has a high crime rate and large homeless population and it's riddled with abandoned houses and buildings I wouldn't recommend for anyone to visit or move to the city of Jackson.
