can't wait to see the body done
Video will be up tomorrow
Looks awesome! A lot of details :)
Tons of details....stay tuned this week for more!
We call it a ute down here ;) Please keep it white! That is its iconic colour 👍
Awesome body! Amazing detail. I've seen them advertised but it's just a little pricey for me.
You're right very much the typical farmers choice in Australia.
My uncle had the flat bed tray, which was also probably the most common choice.
Spent a lot of school holidays with my Uncle and Aunty on the farm, I was a small town boy.
The most common colour was grey with a white roof.
I made up Tamiya's 40 series which is what my Uncle had. It's a two door cabin but with the rear enclosed. Close as I good get!
Painted it with the Tamiya grey which is spot on, then matte finished on the outside with all the panel gaps etc. drawn in with a sharpie then wiped almost off with alcohol and a rag (then matte cleared).
It's just a shelfy really but Tamiya as much as I hate Phillips head screws and some of the almost toy like kits, nailed this one.
The blah yellow they have on the Tamiya box for the 40 series, I can't recall ever seeing one.
As I'm writing this I just remembered that I painted up a 40 series for my Uncle, a bit tricky with the vents and flaps etc.
Anyways if you want to go Aussie, go the grey for old school, we never had a lot of the 70 series, because the 40's never died!
But all the 70's series I can recall were white, silver or fawn.
Have fun it looks awesome, a very nice and detailed ute (utility).
Garszy
Nice! Yeah, these seem like real workhorse trucks
Nice
I have this body on my scx10.2 as well. im a big landcruiser fan. the body is great! the accessories, not so strong. ive been talking with Killerbody and they are working to rectify that problem with input from what ive ran into. one tip, don't even put the mirrors on. one rub on anything and they will tear off even if left loose. so, don't brush the snorkel and mirrors on bushes or rocks. and proteact those bed side steps. none of the doors and hood are hinged. you can hinge the tailgate, but youd have to make a way to latch it. I also did mine right side drive because of the Australian nature of this rig. even theres an option for both.
Thanks OC! Yeah, I've been follwing your IG feed. Great rig you have there. Stay tuned - review tomorrow and you can check out my SCX2 on Friday
will do! and thank you! I appreciate the compliment. its my baby. lol some people don't like it, but not all scale is dropped down on small tires. lol
GDAY MATE,,I'm Aussie ,,your right land cruiser is an icon here,,we don't like floating ships, now we are getting land boats such as your f150,,their 160000 on the road down here
nice
Thanks UTM!
it's a mad scale shell but hard as hell to build , very small screws n nuts that go into it , not a build for the beginner, I've been into rc stuff for many years and this was my most challenging body build to date , I posted pics of it on the axial rockl crawler Facebook page of my finished one on a scx10 chassis
Micro screws! Good deal!
that thing must be expensive because of all the details lol
It's on the top end of bodies..
The RCNetwork oh ok
pretty cool Rich would that fit a tf2 as well ??
THey state the LWB TF2 only...Take a look at ScaleBuildersGUild They just did one on a TF2, but made a custom bed....the issue is the length of the wheelbase
ok cool. i had bought a mystery boc from rc4wd a while a go and i got a tf2 frame i might just use that to change the wheelbase . Thanks Rich . :)
hmm... are you going to have to cantilever the back shocks?
You guessed it! But I came up with a unique way
We call it a 79 series in OZ and the rear tray is very rare in fact they come from the factory with not tray at all the norm is a alloy flat bed.
I got one of theses a couple months ago for my SCX10II but the axels are too wide 😡
This body is a little too small for the scx platform without a bunch of mods better off with the RC4WD LWB chassis.
Nice! Check out Thursday and Friday's video.....light will be shed!
Did that came with the scx10 2 limited edition???
i wonder the same thing
the limited edition was a joke. lol
Oh i didn't know
I have the first comment!!!
nice video, btw
Awesome!
Who do u get the wheels
Amelia Jones not sure what you are asking
Where can I buy the engine and chassis?
If i dont want it without engine is possible?
You can use either the Axial SCX10/SCX10ii or the RC4WD TrailFinder 2 LWB for this truck body
Where can i buy? What is the page?
