Wow! I definitely love the scale look of that truck! I wish someone would make a 1994 GMC extended cab short box body so I could run a mini version of my actual truck. Cant wait to see that truck hit the trail for some scale trailing! Great work, I always enjoy your build videos! Reminds me of when I was watching Topkick Overkill plow snow for the first time! (Now thats a throwback )
Man, this must have taken hours and hours of both building, filming and hours of work in the editing room afterwards! But what a great result, both body and video. I remember some 1/1 Car Body designers telling they always make their prototypes in white. So if it looks good in white, it will look good in other colours too. This one surely looks good in white so it will look just as good in other colours. Great build! I enjoyed the pace and tempo of the video. Great work. Killer Body and Killer Video ;-)

Would you say the Losi night crawler 2.0 is okay even though it is not an MOA? And which axial trail truck(scx10) is the best? Just letting you know The GXL logo goes just in front of the mirror like mine in real life. Also LX V8 is a lower spec model of the car. It goes LX GX GXL in one to one. The real 79 series has a coil front end so I wouldnt be angry if you did a coil conversion to the front of the truck. The back is still leaf spring suspension.
It’s actually funny, I did a paint job on mine today... it went as you said “drastically wrong” 😂 buddy gave me some paint that was color shifting! Dope right! I cleaned up the body and rattled the hell out of the can as always but somehow failed to notice it was a spray wrap and without a base paint it won’t adhere to plastic, good news is that it wasn’t terrible to clean off and repaint but what a pain! I’m now watching this for like the third time as I wait for paint to dry. Thanks for the entertainment and the call out 😂
Always cut body parts from the spru because you will one day have the spru break at the body part damaging the body part itself. Secondly some lightly soapy water added to the surface of the windshield will make sliding the windshield decal into place and gently mop up any moisture with a kitchen towel and leave in a warm place to dry.

Not exactly specific to this video, but the light buckets got me thinking. Once you have the light kit for the buckets, how do you waterproof the connection of the wires to the LED itself? Do you use shrink-tube or goop it up with dialectric grease? Seems like a weak point - if even a little exposed wire is rusted they'll rip right off the LED.

well done, looks close to an Australian country land cruiser ,except you need solid bull bar with bull lights, roof lights ,cb, uhf and am radio arials and truck mud flaps then you'd be cooking with gas.awesome mention to the land down under
you should consider making an aluminum tray for it.. because Australia build not many people have this type of tray in Aus, but the ute is amazing anyway mate

I have ordered two of them one to build and use out on the trails and the other I will build and try to make as detailed and have as much moving functions as possible working steering tail gate latches all functional lights well you get the idea Just want to challenge myself to how much realistic and functional details I can achieve Thanks again for sharing this video
I like the Casey Neistat style editing of this video, very slick. For the decals like the windshield decal i often submerse the decal in some warm soapy water first, then i can position the decal easier.

Killerbody should continue releasing chassis models this pro, nothing compared to a normal plastic cover, even light kits can be put on these chassis
It is a great looking truck body. Its a shame Toyota doesn't sell the real ones over here in the states with the good diesel engine.

would you consider converting the front to a coils spring setup to be more authentic to a 1:1 LC79
We actually have the 79 series landcruiser over here which is the V8 Turbo Diesel. Not the LC70 which is the V6 like that. Just a heads up haha
Wow nice.. just one thing is 79 series are coil sprung in the front... they must supplied you the 75 series frame ..
