    I know it doesn’t have to be perfect but a really easy way to trim the double sided tape is to stick it on your part the set that on a piece of wood or a flat piece of plastic then trim it with your utility knife.

    I've been looking to start an on- road touring car style of build. Didn't really know much about the Kyosho. Thanks for the look at it. I'm kind of leaning towards the 4tech 2.0 but still don't know cause I'm mainly a crawler guy.

      The Kyosho is a great platform but parts are hard to get right now. The 4tec is also a great platform but parts are everywhere and I think the 4tec is built a little better and stronger but that is my opinion

    Hey bud! I've got the 5400kv set up in my L chassis. I've had to go to foam tires as stock ones ballooned too much and started melting the body lol

      It’s the stock spur and 37t pinion. It is one of my favorite cars set up like this it handles so good. I think the 4tec spur gears will fit with a little mod I’ll be trying to fit on it in

      @@sm6451 mine is going strong. I haven’t heard of any issues and tbh it’s a bit over powered for 1/10 scale touring cars. What platform are you thinking of using it for?

      @@SuperDrake79 I bought it for my Kyosho Fazer MK2. I think ill just have monitor heat and find the balance between performance, stability and temperature.

      @@sm6451 it’ll be great. Get some contact foam 26mm tires off AMain. I had no heat issues and we have high humidity around mid 90’s - low 100’s F.

      You would have to mod the whole car to get that to fit

    I recommend foam tires because this machine smokes rubber ones in a few runs

      My stock tires are bald so I was going to burn them up and get some new tires. I’ll try some contact foams from one of my other cars to see how it handles. Foam is good for straight but rubber is good for sliding around. Might have to get both 😂

    Kurt.....outof the box could I run 2S lipo in this model? Is the ESC low voltage lipo safe, etc? Thanks

      Brent Ferrell yes you can run 2s lipo in this car out of the box

    What type of screwdriver do I need to take the think out from the motor?

    It took me a minute to figure out the motor mount. I heard you say "I" setting on the mount for a 37T pinion? I've been trying to figure out the correct letter to pinion configuration?

      Same here , I just bought the same brushed motor and esc , I also have the same kyosho 37t pinion , I don’t understand the letters that much either

      Thanks for letting me know , I actually did figure it out , when I upgraded my kyosho el Camino to a castle creations brushless system , I was going to go with the setup in the video like he did , but I think that the specs on castle creations is a little better

    Did your stock pinion have no grub screw ? Mine did not, it was plastic with no grub screw.

      It was plastic with no grub screw, I got a metal 37t from Kyosho

      Ya it just slides off, it is tight but i put a screw driver under it and popped it off

    I bought the Hobbywing 3652 3s 5400kv motor combo. Do you forsee any limitations or problems regarding that motor vs the 4000kv motor? Or should it be ok?
    Also, how is it running since you installed the upgrades? How does Hobbywing compare to some of the other brands? Has it lasted or did it break?
    UPDATE: Got my Hobbywing 3652 3s 5400kv motor/ESC combo today and installed. Hardest part was to cable manage. All other parts fit like a glove. Waiting for my low profile 3s LiPos. Its been raining.

      If you buy the combo pack it is already set up. Everything is soldered just need a battery with a xt60 on it

    It seems that everyone is very happy with the Fazer , I bought a Tamiya tg10 mk2 fn purely to use 190mm bodies , boy was I sorry , no bearings , single speed , fuel tank sits too far out , they don't even line the body posts up correctly, the real bonus ....Tamiya paint is destroyed by fuel . Nitro is as you Americans say total trash .
