I’d send them to ANACS and see how they fair. I sent a bunch of PCGS cleaned coins to ANACS and most of them came back graded. I took them out of the PCGS holders first. So ANACS doesn’t see what PCGS did. I may send them back to PCGS to see how they grade them again.
Glad I saw this, Rocky. I'm about to send a half dozen moderns to ANACS and am considering using their conservation service to get some haze off a PF 63 Franklin (which I think deserves a 68 or 69 when its cleaned up) and perhaps one or two of the others. The flat fee covers the whole shipment, so why not. If I get what I want from the Franklin, it'll be more than worth the cost compared to what I paid for it. Have you ever used ANACS' conservation? If so, were you pleased?
@@noozienomore I have not used the conservation service with ANACS. I have used it with PCGS and I wasn’t impressed. I have videos on how to restore coins however there is a risk to it. I do it all the time and get away with it and the coins look beautiful however, if you’re new to it, you might want to be cautious. it’s nice to practice with some coins that aren’t worth as much.
@@rockysramblings Thanks, amigo. As a longtime (retired) reporter, research is a way of life for me. As a senior (don't let the baby face fool you), I'm more klutzy. So even though there's not a great deal of haze on the Benjy, I want to make certain I don't bollocks it up.
I like anacs but I think using them as a filter is a good idea on certain coins but also increases the overall cost but it’s not much to begin with so in terms of a safe guard in authentication, they’re perfect, especially for the designations they’re able to give! Nice video and results Rocky, congrats! 🪙🍻
Thanks for the great review!
Well thank you so much!
I recently sent of 10 1909 cents to pcgs all but 3 maybe 4 came back questionable color. Great video.

@rockysramblings thanks I think I'll try that.
ANACS VAM research is a nice offering.

How was the customer service from ANACS?
Customer service is great. My last couple submission tho I’ve been questioning the grades. Got a video that I’ll release soon showing some mistakes
Wait until you see my ANACS unboxing. Coming soon and very excited!
Let me know when it drops!
Is the dust inside the ANACS slabs?
No.
That Indian Head looks nicer to me!
Just think of the money you could save by buying these coins already graded. LOL
Bag marks are scratches
Bag marks are scuffs. Scratches are scratches 🤷🏼♂️

I believe they net graded the 1888 to a ms62 because of long marks, left side of face.
It's possible
