Those are some magnificent coins. I have an 1817 Shilling but it looks low XF. The toning is lovely. Am looking forward to seeing how they all grade. The 1938 Penny is in wonderful condition. I am putting together a group of British coins showing the evolution of the Britannia design. I am sitting at home watching your video waiting for a group of coins to be delivered including the 1950 and 1951 Pennies. A UK UA-camr “Coin Patrol” has great videos showing British Pennies and hard to find varieties. You spent a lot but the quality is there particularly for the coins from the London dealer. The 1904 Florin is common but they are usually very heavily circulated so the condition of yours is very good. Man the shilling is lovey as well!! Much better than spending your money on booze and gambling!!
Ouch. Sorry to hear that Rocky! More than likely cleaned from the way those hairlines swirled, that and that haloish look around the letters still nice for the age of the coin. Hope my comment helps pay for it😂
The Shilling does look cool but definitely cleaned and will not straight grade. Hopefully, you got it for a fair price. I see a price of $4800 for a PCGS MS62 in April of last year. $20,000 for an MS65.
Hi m8 the George ii coin is a stunner id say its had a light clean and seems a little higher price you could buy a similar grade for around 1800 to 4000 british pounds . If you went ot uk i reckon you bought the coins form Baldwins thwy afe notorious fpr seliing coins at overinflated prices some pieces yes are rare and exspestional but some are way overvalued. Goodluck with coins
The first coin is The Caratacus Stater ad 40 TO 41 its the most wanted coin of them all...That's if its real and it looks it to me..The 1743 Crown Rose George II British Silver Coin is worth around £2800 in AU55 lets hope yours grades a lot higher
I dug a bit and it would seem my coin has the CUN on it which would be for Caratacus’s father. Or am I wrong? I’d love to gain any knowledge you have on it. Thank you!
11:05 'Maundy money' is given out by the monarch to this day on the day before Good Friday and is very collectable.
A lot of it before George V you could also just buy at the banks.

Jack & Jill went up the hill to fetch a pale of water... Jill came down with 1/2 a crown and it wasn't for carrying water 😅😅

Those pennies are great!
Pre-decimal currency was known as LSD which stood for the Latin 'librae, solidi & denarii' or pounds, shillings and pence.
Excellent purchases. The 1817 shilling is my favorite. Congrats!
Thanks! Yeah I like it too. Its a real beauty

The appearance of many scratches everywhere is very typical of russian coins, it does not mean it was ever cleaned
British coins have the King looking to the left, Queen looking to right i think i saw one you had king looking right hmm
