Another great video Dylan. Since I've been watching,my fishing has improved especially bait presentation. Cheers my friend, let's hope the codling show soon..tight lines.
Thanks Simon, that's awesome buddy. I'm constantly watching other people, good anglers, and watching what they do, copying their rigs and baiting, and I do feel my catch rate has improved significantly this year. I really enjoy the learning aspect of fishing too. I'm really happy you can take anything from the vids mate, thanks again for your continued support👍👍🎣🙏
Well done Dylan, I must admit that I’ve come back to sea fishing after a 40 year break and really enjoy your sessions, plus your really helping with some of the tactics you use when fishing.. Keep going my friend
Thanks Michael that's really great to hear. I'm glad you've got back into it, and I hope you enjoy mate. I think with fishing, not everything one person does works for everyone, so it's a case of trying out lots of different tactics etc, and from being what works for you, your local marks. But glad it's helping mate👍👍🎣🎣
Absolutely brilliant videos Dylan keep em coming buddy what I like you are at it all the time,I suppose like I do every trip out I enjoy that much I treat I like I'm in a match, anyway keep em coming 🎣🎣👍
Thanks mate, and yes I pretty much do now I suppose. Try to maximise the fishing time, spare rigs etc. I have definitely noticed my catch rate has gone up, maybe not in quality of fish, but I do think the more effort you put in, the more fish you'll catch👍🎣🎣
I agree mate, very happy to catch pout like that, cracking fish😎👍 you’ve probably sorted something by now, but I can recommend the Wuben F5 LED camp light, not expensive, fits in the palm of your hand, massively bright, bombproof & a power bank. Your enthusiasm is totally infectious & I’ll congratulate you again on 3k…onwards & upwards buddy 😎👍👍💪🏻
Thanks dude, I ended up, just doing some simple fish and wedges with homemade tartar, peas on the side, proper old school😂😂. Yeah I've got a new light already, but we'll see how it goes. Trouble with so much of it, as I'm sure you know, is the salt corrosion. Everything just rusts. Thanks again for your support dude. All the best🎣👍👍
Congrats on the 3k subscribers Dylan, that’s a cracking achievement. Fair play those Pout were proper slabs! Great video as always and thanks for sharing .
Massively appreciated Steve mate, I feel that sometimes I get a bit lazy with the filming, maybe I should move the camera around a bit more, but I don't know, it suits my fishing 👍🎣🎣
i like catching all types of fish that are big enough to eat ,dont mined what they are except for congers , i tried to eat one once but it was very chewy.
That's one that is still on my list, I would like to give one a go. But from what I've seen they need to be maybe 10lb plus to get the beat out of them. The flesh looks pretty clean👍🎣🎣
3k, who’d have thought. Great nights fishing Dylan. I completely agree with you about that Tronixpro latex elastic, it lasts forever. I also started off using the medium grade & had to switch to the heavy because of the super small diameter, now I’ve got 3 spools of the medium grade sitting in my fishing cupboard. Congrats on your 3k. Upwards & onwards 🐟🇬🇧.
Thanks Chris mate, always appreciate your comments and support. Yeah I'll defo be getting the heavy next time. But even the medium is good, just for me it's a little week. It's no major issue, but I'd prefer the heavy I think. 🎣🎣👍
That's great Sharon, glad you may have taken something from it. I always try not to do the whole, how to thing. I'm a learner myself, so don't want to come across like a know what I'm doing😂😂👍🎣
Always enjoy your videos, Dylan. Nice session. Weather has been windy, wet or cold recently, but still plenty of fish about. Looking forward to your next video 👍
Thanks Steve, it was nice to see the rods bouncing away, plenty of bites. Always nice to see a better fish, maybe next time, but was nice to have some dinner👍🎣🎣
Congratulations on reaching 3k subscribers Dylan. We've got serious weather here on the Southern Oregon coast. Its called an atmospheric river and we're getting 2"+ a day.
Lovely session Dylan, some good sized fish coming out at the moment, You’ve come along way on your UA-cam journey mate, I’m not surprised to see how popular it has become. Keep doing what you do buddy, appreciate your efforts as always 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks mate, you've been there from the start mate, and I hope you know how much I appreciate your comments and support, it's those things that keep me going 👍🎣🎣🙏🙏
Yeah bud, to be honest I thought there must be a few down there. I was pretty sure I'd get a few good pout this time of year, but I did think the eels would be around. Nice to see a little huss aswell though👍🎣🎣
Great to see you’ve got your mojo back,it’s definitely paying off. Can’t remember if I told you, went to Chilton Friday, had a nice eel over 20,on pout, obviously 😂😂🎣🐟💪
Hi Dylan ... Whatever happened to the last fishing comp video? ... I have continually been checking to see how you did ... Congrats, on the 3K viewer subscriptions ... Like an idiot I was screaming at the TV ... "Behind you, you have a bite" ... Enjoy your Thai fish cakes ... Another enjoyable video, John 👍🐟🎣 ...
Ah thanks John, our last comp is next weekend, but I'll be sure to video it again. Hopefully the fish will show up for everyone, I just need one fish to take the trophy, but there's still no guarantees. Thanks again John, your support is hugely appreciated, also please don't forget to drop me an email with your address😉👍🎣🎣
Good man well done on the 3k 🎉🎉🎉 Good size pout , should keep that light for entertainment purposes light goes off you go (f£&k) 😂 See you on the next one !!
Another great video & congrats on hitting 3K. Thanks again for explaining in detail the reasoning about your rigs, baits & methods, a little insight goes a long way in helping other anglers. I've not eaten Pouting but I think I've heard that they're not the best, is this why you turn them into fishcakes rather than cook them as a whole fish/fillet? Are they full of bones or do they need the Thai spice to jazz them up a bit? All the best, look forward to the next one.
Thanks buddy, and that's awesome, I'm glad anything I've picked up can help anyone else. I think what puts most people off, are the bones. I think it tastes fine. But also think dogfish tastes fine lol. I actually ended up making fish goujons in bread crumbs with wedges and tartar sauce. To be honest I ate the first cod I caught from a boat, and thought it tasted pretty bland. There isn't much in it for taste, and if you are competent with a knife, it's quite easy to fillet in way you have no pain bones either. Just clean fillets😉👍👍🎣🎣
Ta for the reply. I agree - Cod is for texture, not flavour & Dogfish is superb, no bones, full flavoured & substantial meaty chunks. I'll give Pouting a go when I get a chance. Cheers for the advice.@@FrugalOutdoors
another good view mate..my god the size of hooks you use, compared to the ones i use, i could use them as gaffs. again found myself shouting " ey up" when the tips of the rods went over. freezing weather hampering me at min, does it ever get really bad to stop you getting out?
Lol, thanks Mick, I do use smaller hooks sometimes when going for bream and a like, but I guess now with the pout and whiting around, they'll take a 2/0 no problem. We don't tend to get too many flat fish either around our way. I used to use a size 2 on my scratching rigs, I've slowly been increasing the size, and haven't noticed any difference, if anything, I feel my catch rate has improved. Thanks buddy 👍👍🎣🙏
Congrats on your 3000 , how about not giving the result before I watch the match tho. I enjoy vids when its like ya goin fishin, if ya follow my drift. I realise that's not what most want, and hope you dont think this is one of the negatives. AAA
Thanks buddy, I think I know what you mean, as in the title of the upload. Just have it as going fishing etc. Always happy to receive comments like this mate, if there is anyway I can try to improve videos etc, then I'm all ears👍🎣🎣🙏
actually thinnking of coming ovet the island soon for a session, any safe marks you recommend for a beginner, and congrats on the 3k mate, im working my way to the first 100
That's cool buddy, you'll find loads of easy marks over here, depending on which way you came over. Rude pier offers some good fishing straight off the catamaran, Yarmouth pier is also a short walk from the ferry, if traveling by car, there are plenty of places that could get you on the fish quite easily. Thanks mate, I found it to be slow at the beginning, but it'll soon pick up👍🎣🎣🤞
Another great video Dylan. Since I've been watching,my fishing has improved especially bait presentation. Cheers my friend, let's hope the codling show soon..tight lines.

@FrugalOutdoors , so far since December 1st, we've had 7.96". 3.24" today and 69.30" for the year. And it’s been a 'dry year'.
