Hi Dylan, I think all those bites that you missed was that ghost from last week pulling on your line. On the pink squid question, like I think I’ve said before, if the fish are hungry and they’re looking for food they’ll pretty much take anything that you chuck at them. As long as it’s not rotten or putrid I think you’re ok. Keep posting Dylan, I always enjoy your fishing trips whether you catch anything or not 🐟
Thanks Chris, could well have been🤣🤣, it's notorious for strange goings on at fort Victoria. Thanks for that mate, I forget so much with info sometimes🎣🎣👍
Another enjoyable video, thanks for posting, Dylan. Wednesday was a beautiful evening (I was fishing the pier), just nice to be out after all the wind and rain.
Nice one bud. Great video again Dylan, liked the wonder around at the start loads of history there. Hope the comp goes mate . appreciate your efforts 👍🏼👍🏼🎣
Thanks mate, yeah it's a cool place, I really like it, apart from the snags 🤣🤣. Had a nightmare on the comp Mate, lost my mic in the sea, forgot to push record after that, and I blanked🤣👍🎣🎣
Welcome buddy, relaxing and hard work at the same time, the fish were few and far between, but I enjoyed it none the less. I ended up staying on extra hour or so in the hope I could get something better🤣👍🎣🎣
Lol, I think there probably is mate. I enjoy d this one to be honest, not very busy, a little frustrating not hooking those bites, but I enjoyed trying to find out what it was. Thanks again bud👍🎣🎣
Ah that's awesome. I know a few years ago, they made an appearance there, be awesome if they showed up again. My mate had a nice one at the beginning of the year off the wall. 8lb odd, nice fish 👍🎣🎣
Great vid Dylan, well done from the main land. Wish I lived on the island you do have more variable fishing than we do opposite. Keep it up. Tite lines.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it. We are indeed lucky here with all the different types of marks. Funny I still get stuck in the same old venues though👍🎣🎣
Thank you Sharon. I had a really nice time down there, really chilled. Can't say the same for the comp though, lost my mic in the sea, forgot to record most of it, and blanked🤣👍🎣🎣
Nice video as always Dylan. I always found using lead lifts over mixed ground I snagged up even more than usual as the lead lift is just another bulky item to catch in the weed. I find them useful if say your fishing clean ground but it might have some snags or a ledge half way in that you need to get up over and then they do the business getting your lead up quicker. I fish mixed ground in the Bristol Channel and just use a weak link rotten bottom set up but I’m afraid you do have to accept losing gear if you fish snaggy marks. Keep at it fella and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tip mate, it's just one of those things isn't it. I don't mind making new rigs etc, it's just leaving it out there is frustrating, but makes total sense to use the rotten bottom over a lift for ledges etc. That venue has both lol, ledges and snags, it's a nightmare. We sometimes fish in Cowes opposite Southampton and that is more of a ledge, so I'll give that a go maybe 👍🎣🎣
Hi dude, amazing video, as always. You must have given me some of your luck. As of Tuesday night, I had my first ever thornback ray out. Cheers. Good luck in the comp 🎣🎣🎣
There’s nothing more annoying than getting loads of bites you can’t connect to, I don’t understand how sometimes when fishing with worm baits on 3/0 or 4/0 hooks for cod say, hooking tiny pouting every cast, then you get the days when using smaller hooks you can’t get ‘em! Doesn’t make sense!? Another great watch mate 😊👍👍
I know mate, I fish with people that use nothing smaller than 2/0, all the time, still catch pout, bream etc. Go out with size ones, and can't connect. Thanks for stopping by dude👍🎣🎣
Another cracking video mate,i was out wednesday too, at cowes three lions,Sam got a spotted and another mate(Ben) got a smut on sardine,i foul hooked a pout,so thats normal lol...looking forward to catching up tomorrow mate, hopefully get something flat(not an anchovy that ive trodden on either).
nice mark dillon , loved the double hookup mate video joy to watch ( bonus ghost free) i am using my wifes laptop my name is paul not lynn lol look forward to the next one
Nice one Dylan, I saw your lads with the sea angling adventures team at the E.O.B.C doing a bit of casting. Look forward iff they come on your island for a few vids. All the best from GRIMSBY
Well I fished colwell bay on Saturday mate, and it wasn't the best. But a small walk to the ledge on the left will produce some great sport that time of year. Should be bream in the day, and hounds in the evening, bass any time. With any luck anyway🤣🎣🎣
@FrugalOutdoors on a different note I have done thousands of nights freshwater fishing and never felt afraid but regularly get spooked on beaches particularly Chesil beach.
Mad wasn't it. Relatively stiff rod too. Can't believe I didn't hook into it. I am on braid aswell so I suppose it may look better than it really was👍🎣🎣
Thanks very much, I bought them from AliExpress, they are exactly the same as rigsharks, probably where they buy them from. But I bought 10 for about 8 pounds👍👍🎣
Thanks Mike, but early for me to say at the minute, so far I've had fish on it when using, not the target, but it works. I was always on the fence to be honest, that one less hook just doesn't make sense. I'll be using the. Again tonight, just on one rod, so we'll see👍🎣🎣
@@FrugalOutdoors morning bud fished the Bristol channel yesterday lovely day but unfortunately not a bite between 3of us 6 rods 6 hours nothing even had some nice crab but no luck I am off to chesiel tomorrow wensday 🤞 keep the videos coming 😁
@@mikerose7473 that's unlucky mate, seems like it's a bit hit it miss at the moment, been a few thornbacks here. I went last week, had a load of dogs, and there were a few rays, not mine unfortunately but nice to see. Just haven't had the time to edit it👍🎣🎣
Do you think so? That's a 4-8oz rod and it's definitely no wobble stick. I've never had a dog bite that big before. But I guess it could have been anything 👍🎣🎣
I completely agree mate, that's why I'm not interested in taking part. Fortunately only 170odd people weighed in, but still!!. You'd be surprised how many clubs still weigh in dead fish. Our club, you can only weigh in a fish if it's alive, I'm happy with that👍🎣🎣
I personally watch your videos mostly for your enthusiasm, we all feed off positive people. 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks buddy, that's very nice of you to say. Just as well as there isn't many fish🤣👍🎣🎣
Just so you know I'm still watching, and enjoying.
That's great, I'm very happy to hear that you are enjoying it👍🎣🎣

Pink squid more scent. Had some nice Bass on it.
Ah nice, thanks for the info, I always worry that because it isn't as fresh then it isn't as good👍🎣🎣
Nice one Dillon, a double on one hook. You don't see that too often.
Pink squid, doggies love it.
I had a feeling they might, and indeed they did, first for me that was, fun little session really. Not many fish, but I enjoyed it all the same🎣👍👍
another cracking vid bud.. 👍🏻🎣🎣🎣💚
Thanks Phil mate, much appreciated 👍🎣🎣
Your video's have quickly become 1 of my must watch on a friday evening now , just chill relaxing real fishing
That's awesome buddy, thank you, fingers crossed I can get some fish to show you soon. Been a bit sparse of late👍🎣🎣

Cheers Tyson dude. Hope you are well buddy 👍🎣🎣
Mate you did make me laugh when you got spooked, thanks for sharing it with us.
I had to laugh it off, I properly bricked it Martin. Took me a while to get over it to be honest🤣👍🎣🎣
Excellent video again fella nice to see some fish 🐟 keep up the good work
Thanks mate, really appreciate it👍🎣🎣
Good Morning Dylan , Another belting video mate , tbh do enjoy your content & enthusiasm , looking forward to your next adventure , Tight lines

Great to see you back out fishing 🎣, well done love your enthusiasm Dylan.
Thanks Richard, it's been hard to fit in the weekly sessions at the moment, so I expect I'll have to miss a couple at some point 👍🎣🎣
Keep doing what you're doing dude👍

Great video again mate 👍🏻
Thanks bud, hopefully there will be a few more fish about soon👍🎣🎣
so love watching you ........
Thanks mum, I'm going to say you are probably I tiny bit biased 🤣🎣🎣❤️
another good watch, good luck in the next comp.
Thanks Mick, had a howler of a comp mate, lost my mic in the sea, forgot to record half of it, and to top it off I blanked🤣🤣🎣🎣
Nice work Dylan, the bites were strange, very aggressive and I’m surprised they didn’t hook themselves. 👌🎣🐟
There are some snags along there, but at least it’s not as bad as the wall, I had a 26lb conger along there a few years ago 👻
That makes two of us mate, I couldn't believe I couldn't hook into one👍🎣🎣
Ah nice mate, yeah I got into one just on the right hand side, but I managed to get everything back. 👍🎣🎣
great video has always mate nice night to be out fishing for a change mate and a few fish to top it off well done buddy take care of your self 🎣🎣👍
