    This was a fine show of a selection of some of the best originals and reproductions ; but why is tinplate always run at breakneck speeds ?? It is hard to enjoy them rushing past !

      I've never seen track like that - you're asking about the track on the outer loop right? Combo of standard and O gauge?

      The ones with the wooden ties are offered by Gargraves, while the ones with tinplate rails are custom made.

      This answer makes no sense. You talk about wooden ties and then talk about tinplate rails. I don't see the tie-in. 2 different things.@@BAKU2K2

      0:30 Custom - This type of track is referred to as "tinplate" or "tubular" track throughout the toy/model train community.
