  • This is a super simple project that can be made with materials most people have on hand. Envelopes, vellum, tracing paper… it will all work. It can be sewn or glued in and will work for any size journal. The end of the video is based on a request to share the decorated bases that I showed in the no-creativity-needed video. Finally, I finish, in my fumble fingers way, with a slower step-by-step on how to create a straight bow. Thank you for watching and happy creating.

    Thank you for the ribbon tutorial, for the first time my bow is flat! I enjoy your videos so much. I have not messaged or commented my condolences not because I do not care but because I do not have the words to express my sympathy. I had a great loss almost two years ago and I spent hours daily crafting to help with my grief, I completely understand your need to be in your studio. I hope it helps to bring you comfort, and I hope you know how many in the crafting community are sending you loving thoughts. Thank you for all the tutorials.

    Everything you show is so inspiring to us all. Thank you for sharing. Gayle also has a trick with a bow you could maybe add to yours. She wraps over the top of the bunny ear instead of under like you do and it makes the straight ends hang downward instead of having one up and one down. Hope that makes a little sense.

    Thank you, Cori! Your productivity always amazes me! You are my crafting mastermind and superwoman!!! 🥰 Just yesterday, I saw a great hint for holding that ribbon without using a magnet or another hand. Use a reverse tweezer (the kind that you squeeze to open not close) to hold it in place. No other finger needed. When I remember where I saw that, I’ll let you know. Love and big hugs! 😀💞

    Another WONDERFUL video! Thanks for all you do and share. I happen to be off today, so I can try the envelope “page” right away. I enjoy it when you show all of your examples…I am the type that can often mimic things I see without an official tutorial, but about 30% of the time, I guess, I need a tutorial. As a side note, I finally had a collection of super tiny lace and fabric scraps (that I used to toss) and made some clusters in your style this morning, It is amazing how tiny things add just additional interest! I am hooked. Take care!

    Hi Cori, Thanks for the teaching. This may be a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway. When you sewed the glassine envelope on, was part of the zig zag stitch on the spine and other side of the stitch on the glassine? It looked that way. I am guessing that would save room in the envelope as the stitch wouldn't be fully on the envelope. I hope I'm making sense with my question. Thanks for all you do!

    • @CoriDahmen
      @CoriDahmen  7 місяців тому

      Yes! Half the zig zag was on one edge of the bag and the other half was over the edge.
