This bassist is a monster. That moment when they let her out of the box at the 8:00 minute mark. Oh man. I had to go back and listen to it 3 or 4 times. The whole crew is fun, but that rhythm section is next level.
Honestly kexp has to be the best studio for discovering new music in the world right now. I've discovered so many great bands through them and I thank them for that.
Agreed... Discovered like 10 bands at this point and because of this i've started collecting their vinyl records because their album artworks are so nice it's great to hang on the walls
@@Entd8n7d I'm not sure. The word "Pista" from Spanish to English means "Track".... I would guess based on that and the tone of the song that it's about finally being on track in life, but it's really impossible to know.
@@DioHard They intially had Tripping Party, by which I discovered them, on Spotify. Then I noticed it was removed. I asked them through Instagram why I can't find it on Spotify and this is exactly how they replied: "Hey! It's not on Spotify at the moment but it will be again when our album comes out. You can still find that version via our bandcamp". I received this message on March 8, 2020 though :/ So most likely same applies to other missing songs. But hey! It's been a year! I assume they could not release the album due to the difficulties caused by this Covid-19 shit!
Saw them live a few months ago supporting Mac DeMarco. Walked into the venue and remember seeing 3 or 4 of them all stand towards the front of the stage, all with fringes, all without bras, all smiling. Lots of 60s vibes, was kinda hypnotic,

All of the band members are solid but that bassist reallyyyyy stands out, such tight grooves and such sick lines and riffs! Lead guitarist has a wonderful sense of melody too, it can't be easy to create engaging instrumentals like this. Wish the keys were higher in the mix though.
That sound! Kudos to sound engineers at KEXP. This is eargasm. Their recordings almost always sound better than the bands studio albums and any other live concerts. And thanks for aiding me in discovering a great band for the thousandth time!
