Great to see more longer form videos from you! Question for you Dylan - do you normally use 100 sqr inch rackets and what tension do you use? I normally use 98 rackets and got an Ezone 100 but find to be too powerful want to see how to get more “control” with a higher tension. Thank you!

Thanks for watching! I tend to go with a higher tension on the powerful rackets around 55 pounds for the added control

@@Tenniswithdylan awesome. I know you focus on techniques but would be great to have a video on your personal gear string set up etc.

@@Tenniswithdylan awesome! Totally understand gears are typically super personal and not a full on review but just more for fun. Bet a lot of your audiences will be interested! 😊🙏

I started working on using hip and abs more on forehand and got more power but had issues, probably spacing and timing, so went back to trying to start my rotation from back foot in my mind, not hips and abs, but hope will still get hips and abs going. My question is do you focus more on hips and abs as you drive into the ball, knowing your foot is obviously going forward or should you focus on ground up which begins with feet ?

I try to focus more on the loading and how you can drive more from the legs. The hip will fire first before the arm and racket. It is like a whip style mechanics. The slowest part of the whip is the handle and the fastest is the tip.

the last step (follow through) is from arm, or still from the body?
my issue is I always go back to the old habit of flat follow through instead of high.
and this causes the ball curve too flat, often hit the net :(
