Folks, it's a marketing strategy. If I owned a restaurant, I would do the same thing. Whenever I'd introduce a new food item, I'd make sure not to have more than 15 of them. That way I could tell people, "Sorry folks, we sold out already. They sold like hotcakes!" Everybody will be anxious to try them after I put the word out.

As a current Popeyes employee, I can say that we ran out of the chicken sandwich because we ran out of the buns. It has nothing to do with the flower the chicken is breaded in or the chicken piece itself. It is simply the buns. A confirmed release date for the chicken sandwich will be 1 October.

It took me 15 minutes waiting in line, there was four people in front of me, and another 30 minutes before I got my order. The real reason that the popeyes I work at stopped selling it recently is because it caused overworking. The long lines and high demand was causing all of us to overwork, do overtime and weren’t allowed to take breaks. We’re not out of the sandwich but we are literally too tired to make it because y’all want a sandwich

I have never eaten one at home, people simply don't make chicken sandwiches at home in America but boy you can take chicken breast from meat department or buy the breast Frozen in a big but they are expensive, and season them and bread and fry then like you would regular chicken and add lettuce tomatoes cheese mayonnaise and those big buns toasted and you'll have a huge meal, cook some seasoned fries!! And it's just something different for dinner!

That and you don't have to wait 45 minutes to get one. I went to Popeye's last week just for them to tell me they're out. I then ordered a two piece spicy combo. It took me 15 minutes waiting in line, there was four people in front of me, and another 30 minutes before I got my order. This is unacceptable as it shouldn't have taken that long when the chickens are precooked and just sitting there.
