Popeyes has tried multiple times to open in our area and each time it folds. Even KFC closed. It seems nobody wants them when we have an award winning mom and pop grocery that makes its own fried chicken as well as other items
I'm limiting my intake of garbage foods like this and I solely blame McDonald's for screwing everything including raising prices to making their burgers a lot smaller called "shrinkflation" so I'm never coming back for their Big Macs regardless and I'm learning to cook homemade foods so saving money is on the table now Permanently! The fast food industry did this to themselves out sheer greed and most people are now waking up and limiting their intake of empty calories foods like this and who could blame them!? 1:12 the problem with the stuff from McDonalds: when I get food there, I am getting food for 2 people, and we do not like the same things. A Buy One, Get the Second for $1 is meaningless, in that context. Also, the so-called “meal deals” are worthless to us as well, as we do not drink soda with everything we eat. A lot of what these companies are offering people in order to make things cheaper aren’t useful to everyone.
Thirteen Popeye's restaurants closed in my area because the workers and suppliers wanted to get paid. Before they all closed, I think they substituted Cornish hens for their bone-in chicken. Dang they were small.

They have a great online ordering system and I feel like it's a very consistent product.... but it's so expensive that I only eat there about a third of the time that I normally would - can't afford it. If they cannot drop prices, they should at least consider some sort of loyalty program that allows you to save money
5 Guys is the closest burger place to me, about a 2 minute drive. I haven't been there in over 10 years as it's to expensive. Now In N Out is a 20 minute drive, and I go there a few times a week.
Bojangles is almost done building its first location in Las Vegas Nevada. It's about 6 or 7 mi up the road from me. And I'm thinking they have more than one they are building here already.

Cane's was awesome 7 years ago. Could get a decent meal for 7.99. Now it's $14 and they barely put any fries and the chicken strips are now nuggets. It's too expensive for no food. We don't go anymore.

How some of these are only problems in the US not the UK and EU. E Coli outbreaks are usually local and down to poor food hygiene training by local management and lack of spot inspections by local health and food hygiene authorities. With the obesity problem in the US smaller portions should be embraced. Variations in food preparation indicates a hand made quality not cheaply mechanically made and a superior product. Seems that the US does not embrace quality but only wants cheap, unhealthy, full of additives food.
I don't like 5 guys. They cooked my burger in jalapeños and I had and allergic reaction. Not a fan of the greasy texture or the pepper soaked fries. To expensive and reliant on hot spice over flavor. I make better burgers at home on the grill.
Let me tell you the best restaurant, It’s called your kitchen. And you can get really good food from Aldi’s. Even if you don’t know how to cook, you can get their pre-prepared meals. For pretty cheap, My wife and I got macaroni and cheese Rib tips and a brisket And green beans for $21 and that was Christmas dinner. And you could cook it in a microwave. And we had enough food left over for two meals. Now that’s value you can’t beat.
