- Join me as I once again fish Nash Point (Marcross) but this time from the beach - Tuesday May 2nd
Using bluey , squid and prawn on 5-6 ft pulleys , I fish the sandy beach approx 700 m west of the point.
Fishing 3 hr down and 2 hr up on a 2.5 to 10.2 m tide (Barry) , get bites and fish every cast (pretty much)
Catching mostly dogfish, also manage pouting and a conger eel.
what a lovely looking place to go fishing or just to spend relaxing.
Thanks for watching . Yes it is, a great section of coast with stunning scenery
A lovely scenic mark. Nice weather too.☀️ Peaceful, time to just chill and enjoy your fishing.❤️ Well done on your catch.🎣🎣🎣 A lot learnt. Well worth the session.👏
I wonder if it is as quiet when the summer comes.🤔
All in all an enjoyable, informative and entertaining video.😀🧑🎓☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Thank you for sharing, take care and stay safe.😷
Thanks for watching Ian. I'm lucky I can go during the week to avoid the crowds, although I doubt that mark gets busy ! Planning a couple more trips in the next couple of months to see how it goes there
@@fishingat I'll look forward to those.😀
Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it.👍
Take care and stay safe.😷
Hi alan you ok chap, once again cheers for the vid to watch again. Love the chanel ,the show mate . Now we are in may i'm bk on the sand now alan. The winter we fish down the humber and it mud n concrete, and now its cleethorpes onwards and its sand. How i take so much home in my kit baffles me hahaha. Well done on your catch alan. Prawn a cracking bait alan, very underestimated. We all have a blow out now n again, sometimes its an x files moment i think lol. All the best alan from GRIMSBY.
Thanks for watching Carl, glad you enjoy it - Need to share the highs and lows with the fishing, makes it more real on film. With crab being >£1 each, prawn is a much cheaper alternative - Will see how it goes for the smooth hounds, hopefully might get one for camera , take care .
Great venue that well done
Thanks for watching , yes a lovely mark, already a favourite after 2 visits
Hi Alan, nice busy session for you there mate. That conger gave your legs a stretch! Never tire of seeing these marks being fished, very nostalgic. Enjoy you break buddy! 🙂👍
Thanks for watching , lovely spot there, very much like Monknash just up the coast (but less busy). Plenty of variety along that section of coast , just got to be prepared to loose a bit of tackle ! and it has a cafe and toilets !!
Great mark Great vid Great fishing, nice one get down Monk Nash
Thanks for watching, must do Monknash !
Some nice geology behind you there alan.
Cracking spot , that part of Wales is slowly being claimed by the sea
Well done Al nice one 👍 take care mate and tight lines 🎣👊💪
Thanks for watching
Nice informative video fella, not a mark I’ve ever fished but nice to have a bit more of an idea have to approach it after your video.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, a great spot - I've lived in South Wales for 20 + year, and only just found the place. Plenty of variety to fish over low water (-3 , +3 hr)
Yeh marcross beach is fishing off sand onto mixed ground reef etc. try monknash if you would prefer clean ground. Little further down the coast and a brilliant ray venue.
Thanks for watching and the info - Haven't fished Monknash for 2 yrs, so worth a trip back
Great video, the shots of the fish going back and you reeling in is some of the best footage. At 10.58secs your bait elastic was around the tip of the hook you can just see it faintly, just a heads up in case useful mate
Those view shots at the end pretty excellent too!
Thanks, yes I noticed once the video was done. I use tronixpro baitex medium elastic, which is pretty thin .. and my close vision isn't the best !
@@MrJoffG Thanks, pretty stunning cliffs, if you can stand heights, well worth the look !
Loves a birds nest me😂 don’t know how many times I’ve almost launched my rod and reel into the depths of the sea after one.
Thanks for watching - yes, like buses , get one and then get another one ! Still, won't go back to fixed spools
The further you fished to the right was it cleaner ground? Love the info and the way u explain the parking ect. Helps loads for ur fisherman at new venues
Hi, yes (looking out to sea) going further right it gets cleaner ground ! Try to have a look on google maps
To get there , head for the lighthouse from the village of Marcross - You go past a pub and down a narrow road to the cliff top and car park
@@fishingat thanks for the reply pal. Much appreciated 👍
Hi Allan, what leads do you use if you're using rotten bottom tactics ?
Thanks for watching - If I can, I'll use a plain lead if using a rotten bottom. Only use a grip weight if there is a strong tide pull. Hope that helps. Generally using 6 oz plain
I've sent you a message on Facebook. If I've got the right person 😀👍
