  • In this video, I share how I professionally clean engine bays without water, with the Tornador Black Cleaning Gun. The Tornador cleaning gun is an incredible tool for detailers all over, and in my professional world it is a must have. The Tornador Black allows you to degrease, and detail a car engine (and many other parts of the car) with very little effort, and in very little time. Engine cleaning without water is something that many people and detailers are very interested in because of the huge stigma that says "putting water on your engine is dangerous." Of course that is not the case for the most part, and I have other videos on that, but for this video specifically, the tornador cleaning tool was perfect! Follow along as I show exactly how I maintenance engines, and clean engines without water using my tornador black cleaning gun!

    I am a car enthusiast and have been detailing my own ever changing collection since the 1980s. I completely concur with your statements about the miss placed fear people have about detailing an engine bay with water. I have only once in 35 years had a car not start after a very wet and high pressure soaking but was easily remedied with WD40 sprayed onto the ignition cables. HOWEVER right now I have a vintage Corvette with a very sensitive distributor called an Opti-Spark, and as legend has it can not even get misted or it can result in a $900 repair bill if professionally replaced. LUKE to make this shorter I simply want to say thank you! With the refine accuracy of the Tornador this video has erased not only my fear of detailing this Corvette engine but I am going to pass it on to other C4 Vette guys who have the same fear. You are an outstanding individual and your compassion for people and life is amazing...keep thriving.

    Good job, brother! I’ve detailed Pebble Beach winning cars and vintage racers for 20 years and those cars require a gentle touch but for anything modern and high end this product looks great! Keep up the good work and for your videos, lose the shades! Seeing your eyes is way more personable. Keep it up, mate!

    Very helpful video thank you. Would you say a more powerful compressor with larger tank would make your Tornador work process faster and easier by forcing more liquid through more strongly and not having to wait for compressor to build pressure up at times or is your workflow fairly optimum even with this small compressor ? Thanks again Luke really got a lot from this vid !

    Good video. I want to do this for aesthetics, being able to see problem leak areas as they come up, and having a more pleasant mechanical experience- without going overboard and without disconnecting the batt.

    I didn't do a video,..but I used my tornador clone to totally clean my 400ex quad that hadnt been cleaned in a couple of years with grease and mud buildup. Looks like new! Never used a brush or rag on it!

    What solution are you mixing with water in the Tornador reservoir? Nobody seems to ever mention the product they’re using for that part of the cleaning process.

    Do you finish off with just compressed air to remove the Super Clean residue? If not, could that residue do damage to some engine parts if left on?

    • @wilsonautodetailing
      @wilsonautodetailing  5 років тому

      The residue really isn’t an issue, but you can always rinse with water and you won’t have any issues

      I feel you missed the point of the video, being that the engine was dirty and not filthy which he explained early on. It should be obvious right away that the tornador alone wouldn't clean a heavily dirty engine.
