    Nice post man, just found you. I detail and I literally use both of the same guns. (sometimes at the same time) It’s very true, they’re both great. I’ve worn through many sleeves over the years and the metal ones are worthy their weight in gold they last 100 times longer. Just a note if no one mentioned it here - you CAN rebuild a vortex with a tornador rebuild kit, you may just need to trim the hose slightly if you’re still using vortex brand cone (it’s slightly shorter) Keep it coming!

      Odd.

    • @danpasinello8242
      @danpasinello8242 Рік тому +1

      Absolutely! You can use the straw from a Tornador rebuild kit in a Vortex, I do it myself. You just need to trim a little off the end of the straw as the Vortex brand cones are slightly shorter. You may have to slide the blue weights down slightly as well. Hope this helps! Also, you are correct - they don't come with the metal sleeved cones, but they realllllly should as they last 10x longer. @@ruserious9577

      The reason these guns are vastly superior to a simple air gun is this:
      1.)These devices are switching airflow-direction hundreds of times per second.
      2.) A standard airgun only changes direction if you move it.
      Instead of carpet, picture a helicopter landing on a field of tall grass.
      The grass lays down flat, (most likely in a conical pattern moving outward from the helicopter)... and stays there. Same with the tip of your blow-gun. The carpet-fibers all lie-down and stay down.
      Now picture multiple choppers landing on the field, and how many different directions the grass would be blowing...not laying down. fibers don't have time to lay down before the dirt is blown away.
      Sorry if that doesn't help, lol! but it is the closest i can get to an explanation of why they work so well!

    I don't really see the difference between this and an air chuck. I have several regular air chucks and some high volume air chucks. You can buy all sorts of air chucks and/or air chuck attachments that don't cost anywhere near these prices. Then if i want to use the canister style to spray liquid I just use my hand 1qt hand pump sprayer. Exact same results for hundreds less. I ain't knocking it, we all love new tools. I just don't see spending on over inflated tool prices. Great videos by the way.

Also the longer neck on the tornador lets you get further into tight areas... but hey to each there own. Logically I'm not buying something that breaks consistently in one months time. if the tornador is breaking bc you drop it or are to rough then that's your fault not the product.

    Won’t a regular air gun do the same thing? All you’re doing is blowing the dirt out….

      I have and use both. The regular air tip does a great job on a lot of tasks but sometimes the debris in the carpet is really stuck in the fibers and needs the extra force to be pushed out.
