    Nice scenic place!!
If you need more ground clearance check your ride height fully loaded with a driver and passenger and see if you have the recommended 14-15” per xx manual! I had to readjust my preload several times as the stock springs will sag. I eventually had to upgrade the dual rate springs to a shock therepy set. 32” will help as I’ve done that too but you only gain 1” so I now have around 16” fully loaded!
But overall still very pleased with XX! Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for the great comment! You are right about the spring sag, I have since adjusted, added 32's and I'm very interested in going with a Shock Therapy shock tune (heard nothing but good things about them). If you haven't made it to Silverton, I Highly Recommend IT! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I had the 2016 wildcat X 1000 and ran it 4,800 miles now I purchased a 2020 Arctic cat wildcat XX lol just broken in has 260miles I prefer the wildcat machines over other options but respect all other machines. and yes with some accessories and regular use the springs need the preload reset mine already lost almost an inch of ground clearance.

I watched the X do some amazing rock climbing and that's what turned me on to the XX not to mention RG influenced the build.

Doug, We took the train from Durango to Silverton, while we there we rented a SXS for a day, it was only a 4x2 but we did ok. We just bought a Tracker XTR 1000 which is a WIldcat XX.
Anyway at 10:55 of the video you've got a still of a house way up on the side of a shear cliff, to you have any information on it, location, GPS coordinates? We saw something similar and are wondering if that is it. Thanks. Awesome video by the way.

I believe you are actually talking about 10:07 seconds as 10:55 is the full length of the video. That is Smuggler-Union Hydroelectric Power Plant. I took the picture when we went down Black Bear Pass into Telluride. The location is 37°55′9″N 107°46′8″W and here is the link that talks about it en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smuggler-Union_Hydroelectric_Power_Plant Thank you for watching the video and the compliments!

I'm very satisfied with the XX and have no regrets with the purchase. Be forewarned, for it is very loud!

The factory springs have settled. Need to crank up the preload or get aftermarket springs. I run the bandit heavy and like them.

Thanks for the info! I will crank up the preload a bit. I don't want to replace the springs yet because I may be going to the RG long travel kit and will mod all at the same time.

@@DougsX5 perfect. if i remember correctly 14" to the bottom of the skid plate is what it should be at on stock tires. I am a bit higher than that based on the terrain i ride and gained an inch due to taller 32" tires. there are some tips on how to crank up the preload by turning the spring where it sits. This is what i did, takes a bit of work but goes pretty quick.

@@robfuchs6158 did you do a long travel kit? Curious what spring rate they gave you. What are the numbers on the 2 springs front and rear? I think if you read it backwards or something the rate is easy to figure out

@@DanBrinkmann I did not do the long travel kit, when the time comes for a shock rebuild I'll just have the valving revised. To be honest I haven't even opened the box yet, Shock Therapy asked a lot of questions pertaining to accessories and added weight.
