Riley's an interesting guy - so quiet in person, but is a "man of action" when he gets on a sled. One of the most talented and versatile snowmobilers I've ever met!
You should go hunt up that old video of a real survivor 1973 EXT 650 oval racer harassing the newer machines at the drags about 13 years ago. It’s hilarious. A then 40year old monster hanging with bigger stuff. Not winning all the time but winning enough. Great footage.
Hey Buddy. I don’t know if you’re going to read this but put a bearcat clutch and torque converter on it Have it kick in around 5000 Rpms. Maybe more like 5300. That’s what I had in my 700 ZR. I beat 1000s with it. Of course I used to race professionally.
@ I’m not sure about your set up. But it does work. It gives you a better hole shot. Longer low end longer mid range and a bit more top speed. We used to drag race ( a lot) we were very good at it.
Just ran into this 8 months late. Very cool. You never said what was in your Thundercat. Stock or ? If you see this comment, how do you think a 93 Thundrcat with a Hooper racing 1050 "Trail" engine would compare? Said to produce 200 HP.
Awsome content ur killing it.

So much fun

Goes to show how ahead those old cat muscle sleds were in their time… beats. Got a 00 Thundercat and a 98 ZRT 800. Never ride anything different🔥
Thanks for watching!
I'm looking for a 98 ZRT 136. If you know of one let me know!
Goes to show how good those Yamaha engines in those old school cats were .
They weren't ahead of theor time they were just powerful, simple didnt have stupid emissions bs to contend with! Their suspension sucked!

I think the one made in the U.S. is louder & more resonate and the 500.00 extra price wouldn't change my mind if I wanted that model.
Looks like fun
