That's an amazing story! It sounds like you had some incredible childhood memories with your grandfather at the Salton Sea. Learning to drive a stick shift in those Baja Bugs and riding the rails sounds like an unforgettable experience. It's clear how much those times meant to you. It is very loud in the cars and the hearing protection is actually in-car communications headsets and are hands-free, allowing driver and passengers to talk easily between each other as well as the other cars.

I have been running with that Trick car since 2006 - It was originally the green adrenaline shot and has since undergone modifications and is now white. The only one currently in the group.

Awesome! I’ve got a 2007 trick that I absolutely love. I think I commented a while back when I saw this one in your video. Not everyone knows those cars but they work really well. Wish there were more of them out there. Keep up the great videos!

@@HoodWeldingandFabrication The trick orange money car ran with our group for 4 or 5 years back in I think '06 to 2010 or 11 and I'm currently helping a gentleman in Phoenix with his Trick racing car. I rate them as one of the top handling cars out in the dunes.

@@thundrchckn Thanks for the comment. On other rides I did angle the camera and put it on the rear roof bar at 45 degrees with the same results. I'm going to run without our lens protectors and see if the lens glass itself holds up with the camera angle as you suggested 👍

@@robertthomas3862 It would be cheaper to buy a used one then build. I wouldn't get anything less than a Mendeola/Weddle S4S as far as transaxle goes.

@@robertthomas3862 I have great suspension, however far from the best. The whole set up is called a Long Travel Sand Rail. There are many manufactures and you can invest as much as $400,000.00 for the best. Mine is a Buckshot-X5...Check out this website for more info - www.buckshotracing.com/
