So the beginning of the video states that that particular vehicle had 1800 horsepower but only ran 112 mph ! it appears that the laws of physics have overcome & are greater than the malarkey being spewed.. .
Yes sir, that was my mistake as I didn't hear him correctly, I believe it's more like 800 low boost and 1300 on the highest setting. 112 was after he already let off the gas and was slowing down....too much traffic to get a better run.
Have you tried the gorilla whips?
A comment for the post
Super fun video! Glad yall got to come and rip our loval dunes! Cant wait to get to glamis in a few weeks!
Thanks for watching! It was a blast exploring the St. Anthony dunes. Hopefully GLAMIS will cool down enough that you will be able to have a good time! If it does, I may see you there. Congratulations on the new addition to your family by the way!
Literally just placed my order for this today. Have my Lowrance on my X3 and making it to Camp RZR for the first time. Looking forward to putting this to full use.
That's awesome, It's nice to have the security of knowing where you are and where you're headed. Have fun at camp RZR!
Geez that blue looks dope asf
It sure does!
There are top fuel and blown alcahol sand dragsters you know..........

@DougsX5 yeah those might get going a bit faster more quickly
@@EnglertRacing96 All say! But not a very smooth ride...
Good Job putting in the work. That was a poor design. Ball bearings are not designed for those torsional type thrust. No wonder you went to the time and expense to convert yours to mid boards, its obvious the superior design.
Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. You're absolutely right about the ball bearings not being ideal for torsional thrust. I've learned a lot from this experience and am glad I made the switch to mid boards. It's definitely a superior design for the kind of riding we do.
Cool graphics!
You must answer the call!
For sure!
Way back when we used to go to Glamis I never saw anything like that because we were always in the dunes.
Yes, the dunes themselves are the best kept secret, don't let it out or all those people at the drags are going to over crowd the dunes. Unfortunately, the time of day the drags are going on is near sunset when the dunes cast a lot of shadows and visibility is very poor making it a dangerous time to dune. Check out some of my other videos as I have several where we are actually in the dunes.
Can't wait.
Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the video.
Anytime!
Great information. Thanks Doug.
Really appreciate you checking out the videos, glad your enjoying them!

More please lol
Great job bud..
@@805paulwatson Much appreciated ‼️ Thanks
Where do you order f1 fit for the bearing? Fk doesn’t accept retail order, and most retailer like summit racing doesn’t have f1 for most of the part

@@BinaryspotR Thank you for watching and giving us a shot!
those dunes are so big and smooth, it seems like your not going that fast.. But I watching you speedo and you were hitting 80 at times.. amazing. i cant wait to get out there someday.
I promise you won't regret it. As always, thanks for watching!
Been going to Glamis for 53 of my 53 years but I gotta say, I need to make an Idaho dunes trip. When’s a good time to go? I’m thinking Glamis for winter, Idaho for summer?
Idaho for summer for sure as St Anthony Dunes are above 5,000 ft. elevation. I would say anytime May - Sept however it can still get hot there in the summer. Here are the average temps for you: May: Average high temperature is around 69°F and the average low is around 36°F. June: Average high temperature is around 75°F and the average low is around 39°F. July: Average high temperature is around 84°F and the average low is around 52°F. August: Average high temperature is around 84°F and the average low is around 51°F. September: Average high temperature is around 75°F and the average low is around 44°F.
Awesome thank you brother. Keep the awesome vids coming. Jesus saves!!

I want/need to do this in the race truck, what steering column is in the buckshot? I have a weld on quick release, but can totally fab something
Nevermind hahaha, I see you had to fab as well
I have all the links to what I used in the description of the video. You may have to by an adapter and weld to yours like I did. Buckshot makes there own steering column and uses a grant style mount, nothing more than the pieces you saw in the video.
@@DougsX5 I just need to figure out a flange to weld to my column so I can bolt the NRG base to it
@@eviltechracing One of the adapters in the links I provided wont work?
@@DougsX5 no, mine is just splines, gonna have to cut the splines off and weld an adapter
Rarely do I see smaller twins used on V8 stuff, everyone wants to go huge and make 1000HP. Can you provide the specifics of the turbos? I saw below they were G30-660's but what A/R are you running? I ask because I'm wanting to build a 6.0 V8 stick shift car and I worry if the A/R is too large it'll lag. Your setup is perfect, congratulations on making that level of seriously usable power! Awesome rig!
Much appreciated, I wanted very quick spooling bottom end power for ripping the dunes. The A/R is .83 and works very well for my set up.
The sand was wet that morning.
Yes and wet sand can be dangerous, definitely want to drive cautiously especially when cornering.
That thing is a bad ass!
Indeed! 👍
Thanks for the ride along!
Ooops I should not have brake tapped while I was shitting my pants.
😂
Thanks for the ride along!
I see you have your heater hoses or bi-pass hoses blocked off what thermostat do you run or do you run a disc in lieu of the thermostat or none at all!
I run a freeze plug with a drilled hole.
How does St anthony's differ from glamis dunes as far as mass area size of dunes ect? I didn't see as many witches eyes. As always, Thanks for the ride along!
Known for its vast expanse, Glamis boasts over 118,000 acres of sand. It's one of the largest dune areas in the United States. While still substantial, St. Anthony is significantly smaller than Glamis, covering approximately 40,000 acres. St. Anthony dominates Glamis in Dune Size and Hill climb challenges. We dune an average speed in Glamis approx. 35-45 MPH coming out of the bigger Bowls at 70-85 MPH and St Anthony we averaged 50-60 MPH coming out of the bigger bowls 90-105 MPH. Due to the sand consistency and steepness of the St Anthony bowls there wasn't any whoops to speak of which was nice. Basically smooth and fast! You have to be careful not to fly over a drop not knowing what's on the other side as you can easily end up in the Lake or Lave Rock field! Hope this helped answer some of your questions.
Thanks for the ride along! I hope my comments are helping your algorithm. You have spent a ton of time filming. Thank you for that!
Not sure I know how the algorithms work, but I appreciate you watching, makes all the filming and editing worth it is someone is enjoying the content.
Thanks for the product review!
Thanks for the ride along! Windy day on top of it too.
Thanks for the ride along! They were all winners they all had a blast!
Thanks for the ride along! Great audio perfect volume of both music and V8 dune sound.
Appreciate that as sound volume can be a tough one to match.
Thanks for the ride along!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the ride along!
Thx for the vid, but you didn't actually climb the steep dune.... you turned back down each time so we don't really know how the tires really bite when you need it. Looked more like the same performance you'd get with stock knobbies. Possibly the HP on your machine might not be enough or possibly the four wheel drive used doesn't actually work well for dune climbing.
@@johnk7851 It's only 130 HP machine. The tires performed great! I went up Patton Hill no problem except I crested the top at 10 mph due to lack of power. It Dunes great but not a hill climber, need turbo power for that.
Here because of @mattSpears
