SJC Custom Snare Drum Unboxing & Sound Test

Decided to go custom again and SJC Built me this insane snare! I’ve always been a fan of “twisted” finishes and when I saw SJC building some kits with rose gold hardware, I had to go for kit.
Here are the specs-
⁃ 13x6.5” vintage mahogany shell w/maple re-rings
⁃ Twisted aged white ripple with rose gold hardware
⁃ Wood SJC shield badge
⁃ Chrome Trick snare throw-off
One important note, this was one of the last drums long-time SJC family member and craftsmen Josh Byrne helped build before his tragic and untimely passing in October. I feel honored to play an instrument that he had a hand in making. I’d unofficially label it as part of the “Josh Byrne” era of drums from SJC. It was surely built with passion, and I will play it with pride.
