I've owned the whole 756 series before and always liked the radios. I got to play with that original pro before it was officially released. I've noticed those lines before too. I wish I still had one.
Rob Sherwood agrees with you actually. He has said repeatedly that the differences of the top 20 on his list would not be discernible the human ear. It’s just instrumentation at point. He uses a pair of 7610’s.
You know how some hams like to nit pick things. A guy was saying the icom 7300 and 756pro were junk because they were too low on the sherwood list haha
