I got the Galaxy Book 4 with the Intel Core 7 150U, 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD for $693 today at Best Buy! I never had my own laptop before and for my first one and with that price I couldn't pass it up!
Thanks so much for doing this review! I was able to get mine today for a $300 off retail on Samsung website and got a $30 off educator discount. For what I use my laptop for, this one is ideal. I really appreciate you taking the time to review it!
I got the i7 version with 16GB ram for just under $900 CAD. At that price it was a steal. I like how light it is and powerful enough for everyday use. Great video btw 👍🏾👍🏾
Hey, I'm curious about your laptop's battery life. How long does it usually last on a full charge? This way, you're asking about the battery backup in a casual and clear manner.
Almost 7.5k views but only 200 people liking the video is a crime. It's a great video and it really helped me get all the info on this laptop and I'm sure it helped you too so come on people hit the like button! Dont be so rude, it won't cost you anything so support such good UA-camrs
Just bought the 16ram/512ssd variant and I'm super excited for it to arrive, I dont really do anything that demands too much of the notebook so im hoping it will have a long and productive life

I got the Galaxy Book 4 with the Intel Core 7 150U, 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD and NVIDIA MX570 4GB for my new full stack k development job in Korea. But I also chose the Nvidia version because I am doing some light machine learning apps as a hobby and do some gaming on it (mainly Minecraft, Valorant and LoL), but I also got a Sabrent 8TB M.2 to fill the other slot and this laptop for my workflow is a beast. I love it a lot!

I want to know as well, I wanted to know do i need the nvidia because i game and have class for graphics or can i get away with the regular intel 7?@adityaganiger914
I spent a decent amount on Galaxy book 3 ultra, the super slim display got a hairline crack out of no where. It happened on a day when it was placed on a table. Yesterday, one of the type C port stopped working. No doubt battery life is decent but it's not what they promise on paper. Don't go for it if you don't store money in jute bags. And you might find my comment on other videos as well, as I'm trying to save people to fall for this beautiful machine.
If anyone is here from the deal in the past 24 hours, it has been improved from whats in the video 8GB ram -> 16GB ram, 256GB SSD -> 512GB SSD, intel core 5 -> intel core 7
For anyone who has not bought one, if you buy directly from Samsung right now it’s $350 off from $899 and if you trade in ANY working laptop (mine was 12 years old and running Windows 7) they’ll give you $200 trade-in bringing it down to $349 sub total brand new! Best laptop for the pricing for sure! Bonus advice, the Samsung Galaxy Bud FE are $40 off along with $20 trade-in credit for ANY working wired or wireless headphones, regardless of the brand bring the subtotal to $36 for some strong wireless 2 device at once compatible earbuds!!!
This is Samsung's mid-range offering, so expecting it to be as feature-packed as the "Pro" models is a stretch. Due to Intel's restrictions on RAM (16GB minimum), Samsung cannot offer the Pro model at a price for those that cannot afford £1600, which is the vast majority of the world market. Apple's success with MB Air is due to its ability to offer a base starting price of £1100, which makes up >60% of its air sales. So, a mid-range 8GB offering is left to their mid-range devices. Despite the flexing Apple gets for 8GB base models, nearly all Windows premium brands, including Dell and the Surface line, do the same thing. Still, we rarely see reviews of these as most reviewers are sent higher configurations. For the UK, the base is £950 for the 2024 Core 7 with 8GB/512GB, which is reasonable if at the higher end of the mid-range. However, it does not have OLED, 120Hz, or ARC Graphics. £150 more for the 16GB and the MX570. In the UK, that competes well with rival mid-range 16GB/512GB models, though there is no option for ARC Graphics of OLED/120Hz. You need £1600 for that privilege, which blocks many of us from the market. Ideally, I would have easily bought an 8GB/256GB Galaxy Book4 Pro for £1200; they had that option last year, but instead, I went with a base MB Air M3 for £1000 (which was on sale at Amazon). I do not need more than this config as I use it mainly as a Chromebook-like workflow. So wasting £400 extra on specs, which I would never need, is dumb and unaffordable. But I want a premium product for the next 5-7 years.
Ah, so what do you suggest I do for multi use? This UA-camr said in his review the book 4 is not reliable when it comes to the RGB. I need a laptop with exceptional, if not better, display. Photo/video editing and gaming... Just without sacrificing money haha
A 16GB 512GB one is on sale here for 650€, but like seriously? No thunderbolt, HDMI 1.4, and plastic trackpad? 650€ is still a premium price to pay and yet you’re still cheaping out?
Thanks for this review! Very helpful because there is still little info around about the new entry level spec. I pondered back and forth between this one, the Book 4 360, and some of the competitors. Luckily my local store had a standard Galaxy Book 4 as a demo unit, so I could take a look. It‘s nice but it isn‘t WOW. Ended up ordering an Acer Swift Go 14 OLED instead.

I am very happy with samsung galaxy book 4 for $549
@@ajjijgaming4938 it really disappointed me in gaming. I thought it was something wrong with it but then i realize there wasnt, its just my eyes and hands are so use to 144hz refresh rate from my gaming PC and Gaming monitor that it felt laggy at 60hz on the laptop. It gets 60fps easily on the older games i like to play on it, counter strike , left 4 dead etc but guess i perceive 60fps as laggy now. I tested by putting my gaming pc on 60hz limit on screen and it was identical to laptop. Other than that, for non gaming purposes (why i got it) it is perfect, battery last long time, doesnt get too hot. Multitask like a champ, multiple youtube videos playing with multiple tabs open on web browser and multiple pages of adobe pdf and Microsoft word open 👌 great budget laptop

Hey, how do I decide if I want to go with the 5th gen or the 7th gen core? Is there really much of a difference between them if I get 16gb ram? Would really be a great help if you answer
If you perform tasks that require high processing power, then a Core i7 is more suitable for you. This could be video editing, 3D rendering, machine learning algorithms or processing large datasets, for example. For standard use such as office, streaming or browsing, any i5 is absolutely sufficient. It‘s not ‚generations’ by the way, just names for different levels within their range. i5 is mid range while i7 is higher performance.
