She handles her German pretty well too, when it was obviously not comfortable for her. Too bad the interview couldn't have been in Italian, which she had totally at her command. She was able to sing in 6 Languages : Italian, French, German, English, Russian and Spanish but she also sung something in the dead language “Latino” . She did a lot for the OPÈRA and made a lot of TV Broadcasts . Thanks to ANNA a lot of young’s discovered OPÈRA and love it !! She used to study many hours a day , even when she was 40 and 50 : her commitment was unbelievable !! She broadcasts LA TRAVIATA twice, then BUTTERFLY, LA SONNAMBULA, LUCIA di LAMMERMOOR , opposite the most important Tenors and Baritones of her Years . Unfortunately she left us too early because a horrible illness . Miss MOFFO was used to be nice to everybody and spent almost all her money to help beginners and poor People !! A GREAT SOPRANO and a GREAT WOMAN too !!! THANKS ANNA . MAY GOD BLESS YOU, Rest In Peace !!!

Only in New York was she "overshadowed" by Sills (!) and not at all in the prime years of Moffo's career (i.e prior to about 1966), no question which of the two had a greater voice.
