They take them in as a child BECAUSE of said attachments. Anakin's attachments or love is what damned him. @Nathaniel12345678910 If you pay attention, the only clone to not wear his helmet in the episode is Rex (not counting those that don't wear armor such as the officers).
They used Hayden's dialogue for the scene when Ashoka senses Anakin's turn to the dark side. But some of it sounds like Matt lanter when Anakin says "what have i done". Bruh when i heard that i was shaking. That was most definitely the most powerful scene for me.

Theory: Ashoka said ‘not yet’ showing she was willing to rejoin the order, because since she believed the war was ending, they wouldn’t have to be soldiers anymore and this is what she wanted to say to Anakin in person but never got the chance to😭
Really like this thought. I would like her to have been a Qui-Gon 2.0, helping the Jedi find their way out of strict dogmatic hubris that Luke references in TLJ.
Remembering that episode, it was tragic. Tragic because his death seemingly meant nothing while we the viewers watched as he desperately yet hopelessly tried to warn the others. I'm glad Rex decided to listen.
This episode will go down in history as part of Star Wars’ best. Order 66. Maul. Ahsoka & Rex. Revenge of the Sith callbacks. It was phenomenal. Nothing can top this.
The part where she "cuts a hole in the roof" to escape was actually her redirecting the blaster fire from the clones up into it, as seen by the abundant blaster holes surrounding the main hole she goes through
Red Gaming26 With Ahsoka’s help, Rex got his chip removed and as a result, didn’t betray her and kill her. So what he said was true, from a certain point of view.
@@Nachet_MVS you might be correct, i think she was enough of a fan favorite to maybe warrant a novel even without rebels but speculation is speculative
I think it was so find the inhibitor chip, when he starts saying it , it brings back fond memories of the Jedi which obviously the chip stops therefore activating it allowing the medical droid to find it
Pandemic Why ? That’s literally like saying Energy is around us all the time, this Aether, Prana, and so on .. Jedis are seeing like he buddha or jesus where they can tap into these forces but of course where there’s good there’s dark.
@@lenkngomez8451 its called in enchantment, she was trying to find the chip as the darkside was hiding the chip itself yet she had to dig deep and use that saying, its also for focus and control for the jedi
The hardest thing for me is seeing this clone wars anakin turn to evil. I feel like there are two different Anakins in Star Wars, the movie one and the clone wars one. Anakin turning to the dark side in the prequels was not as hard for me as it is now. In the prequels you could tell he was always troubled. In the clone wars you could not have seen that anakin turn evil.
Well there actually are a lot of moments in the Clone Wars, where his dark tendencies shine through. Like when he choked Poggle, raged on Clovis, raged on the Slavers, raged on Hardeen, killed Trench like it was a joke, and more. I think there is a video on YT, where all his dark moments from TCW are compiled.
Cooper Hitt i feel exactly the same clone wars anakin and prequels anakin dont feel like the same person and its extremely hard for me to imagine clone wars anakin transitioning to vader
Also notice how before Rex draws his blasters he says to the clones “wait, Ill do it” At first you think, oh maybe Order 66 didn’t effect him and his stalling for Ashoka to get away. Then you realize no he’s not faking it and even worse he’s succumbing to his inhibitor chip. A truly great scene
The first ten minutes of this episode was some of the best Star Wars stuff ever put to screen. The anxious build-up with the music keeping you on edge was incredible. The show knew that you knew Order 66 was coming
I cant get the feeling out of my head that somehow ahsoka is a very important part in either the survival of luke or ray between episode 6 and 7 and that we are going to see that in the a few years.
@@MikeJ00017 Yeah I have a feeling the Mando and this mystical "rebels/clone wars sequel show" are going to be playing damage control now for the sequel trilogy, actually connecting the previous movies and shows to the new movies and just in general making them way better, like what the Clone Wars, Rebels, Solo, and Rogue One did for the prequels. Ahsoka, Ezra, maybe Bo, and others are probably way more important than we know
Another detail Feloni put in the episode that you may have missed is when Rex responds to Palpatine with “yes lord Sidious”. No other clone says this, instead something along the lines of “yes my lord”. Rex was the only one who momentarily figured out Sidious’ identity (based on what he learned in the last few episodes) before succumbing to Order 66 and Palpatine even paused for a moment before disconnecting because he was surprised.
It's because Rex was trying to fake it I believe, so he said what he thought Sidious wanted to hear. Then a few seconds later the chip actually starts kicking in
What wonders me most at this point: Did Sidious seriously call every damn clone commander? I remember him calling the small troop in Jedi Fallen Order, so I guess he does lol Order 66 must have taken some time
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it personifies the fatal flaw of the Jedi. Obi-wan, for as great a Jedi as he was, stuck to the Order's ideals and refused to become too attached to any of the clones, as did most of the other Jedi. Cody gave no second thought about blasting him. Ahsoka learned attachment through Anakin and became attached to Rex, and it saved her life.
6:00 that handshake was specifically the Mandalorian way of shaking hands (at the wrist and forearm). Huge props to Dave Filoni for including that detail.
David Conant eh in Star Wars yes, but that handshake is used in warrior groups for years and years. Modern day soldiers did it, likely the Greeks did too.
The hardest part was seeing the clones of the 501st with the “Ashoka paint” trying to gun her down. From ultimate respect to the ultimate betrayal. And she keeping it together, saving her own life, and fixing Rex.
Is no one going to talk about the chad clone at 12:13 that held that door up for a solid minute even though there was an extremely high chance of him getting killed?
I LOVED IT when they played audio from ROTS in the episode. “Execute Order 66” made me giddy. And I liked how Maul knew something was up the whole time, and when he heard that the clones turned on the Jedi, he instantly understood and marveled at how brilliant Sidious was. Great episode, great cliffhanger, can’t wait for the next one.
esp when "I'm so sorry" from the ROTS soundtrack plays (played when Obi Wan reveals he knows of Padme's child and Anakin crying shortly after), really got me.
Matthew Tuckman The way the comment is stated is assuming that they’re children. Not even misandrists say this, like no group of people says “[x] doesn’t know how it feels to lose something”. I was also commenting on how unfunny the comment is for having to bring this stupid shit up, like no one even says that lmao so the comment is unneeded anyways
Honestly it’s odd seeing the clones as humans like even with the order they’re not machines you see this when the clone has his arm cut off the other clone was desperately trying to save him Makes it that much sadder
Kathleem Kennedy wants a “strong female” lead. She is blind, Ashoka has been here all along and the fans love her damnit! Give her a movie or a tv show or anything we will pay to see it cause she’s amazing
ahsoka's not a man hating feminist and her creators were also men. she only wants to push HER ideas and agendas... I personally have no problem with main characters being male or female as long as their story is well written and it's believable... the problem is all of that is being sacrificed in the name of having a female lead for the sake of it being female, she doesn't care if the character is a well written one... and that's why even George Lucas is pissed at her and why she won't be around much longer
Ahsoka is nothing compared to Rey. She’s just had everything given to her because she was created by that hack Dave Filoni, who makes all characters job to the might of his own characters, I mean he even created time travel for her lmfao.
If they just expanded on Rey more to make her as incredible as Ahsoka she'd be as loved as Ahsoka. I blame the writers for screwing up her amazing potential. I love Ahsoka, she's amazing. And I'd love to love Rey just as much...it's honsetly sad
I loved how after Rex replied with "Yes Lord Sidious" palps stops for a second as if to acknowledge that the fact that Rex had figured out his identify meant the jedi were only hours away from figuring out who he was. Absolutely beautiful moment in my opinion
I can't believe they actually re-created the same feeling as ROTS, I instantly cried when the clones started shooting at Ashoka, a show has never done that to me before😤
MrDG103 and done in episodes like a whole season so they can fix any of the clunky dialogue and plot holes, to make toys as close to perfection as possible
Deathly_RyAn idk, that stuff takes a massive budget and think of all the new content we could be getting rather than just touching up existing stuff, my point is I guess is if they did animate the movies there would be no budget for new stuff
To me Maul will always be the most badass character. Vader, Palps, grevious, etc are all awesome in their own right, but Maul is just something else man.
"But not as a Jedi." "Not yet." OHHHHH MY GOD this WOULD explain WHY she's so angry with Vader in Twilight of the Apprentice. I BET she was planning on returning. Planning to train again under Skywalker. She never got that chance. "I am no Jedi." Was said with such venom it was pretty surprising. But now it makes sense. Oof. Poor Ahsoka.
Now what I think would be cool is is the show because we only saw me lead in the army but it'd be cool to see everything that happened from the other Jedi and clone perspective and sorry for the death of the Younglings
1st time was because she was trying to end Maul's reign on Mandalore once and for all,2nd time was because her clones had just betrayed her and almost killed her so she trusts no one
John Goodwin ( Student ) everyone’s feeling emotional and all that but idk why I didn’t. I felt like it was a mehh episode. I’m not sure why. I want to feel more attached to it but idk. I guess it’s important to note, I binge watched season 1-6 in like 3 months
When Both Ahsoka and Rex start saying "I am one with the Force and the Force is with me." was just amazing. This episode resonated perfectly with Jedi Fallen order.
She doesn't write anything...but the stupid choice of having multiple directors for the sequel was hers and a bit terrible from how consistent the sequels were(they weren't, JJ and rian where acting like the other's plot doesn't exist and moves on with his own)
I am enjoying these last 4 episodes 200% more than all the sequels combined. So unfortunate that in two days the series is at its end. I want more of this cinamatic master pieces
Itzmbd She called herself one first but still Mace and the Jedi order are assholes. They were literally going to let her be executed while they knew she was framed and show no remource still. Smh
That's my thought exactly even the Jedi she was close with didn't stick up for her just watched it all go down and then was like oh sorry about that come on back like what the fuck are you kidding me !!!
I loved the scene where Rex is "fighting" to resist Order 66. The shaking of his helmet, the tears in his eyes, telling Ahsoka to research into 5's and his story. Really emotional and well done scenes.
@J u n k y “What have I done?” does not appear anywhere in the Morris arc. I literally just watched that again recently. But yes, everything besides “What have I done?” was only Hayden, taken directly from the movie.
This episode was so insane that I was actually hoping to see Ahsoka and Rex somehow break the clones from the control of their chips and stop order 66 without remembering what happens anyway. The whole journey from Mandalore's surface to the venator bridge and until the transmission was so tense. It's been near 12 years from this shows debut and I'm never going to get over the fact that it's nearly done. The last scene when Rex tells Ahsoka that every single clone in the entire grand army of the Republic has been compromised by these chips basically since "birth??" Was also really emotional. Seeing the end of one of my favorite eras and knowing that the good guys don't win in this one is still hard for me to take
@@nicklynch216 I'm hoping for it but season 7 is ahsokas character ark so fingers crossed but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have anything with Anakin
Well its the end of the Clone Wars so calling the show Star Wars the Clone Wars would kinda be weird when the Clone Wars is over so maybe they'll make a show called Star Wars The Dark Times and continue it that way, you just have to pray to the God Emperor Dave Filoni and wait and see.
Crex MM Holy fuck, you're brain dead. I am aware that she let him out, jackass. I am saying that if Darth Maul had freed himself, like the creator of this video was saying he would have preferred, it would have rendered the cage he was in pretty much useless. If the cage is designed to hold force users and someone in it could just escape using the force, it'd be about as useful as you are.

Anakin My other brother how are you
Hello fellow Anakins how are we doing
The part where she "cuts a hole in the roof" to escape was actually her redirecting the blaster fire from the clones up into it, as seen by the abundant blaster holes surrounding the main hole she goes through
Greg Barnes that’s what I thought bc the hole was straight into space which she couldn’t have gone through
Took me way too long to find this comment. Very surprised SWT didn’t pick this up.
That was epic
Wow, I actually didn't think of that. It didn't look like she was cutting the roof in the scene. Very nice observation
That's for pointing that out. I knew something was wrong there. I always like to see reflected blaster bolts
Rex in Rebels: “I didn’t betray my Jedi”
Rex in Episode 11: So anyways I started blasting
Stop pointing out plot holes. This version is better...
Red Gaming26 he still didn’t actually betray her, he ended up saving her, and not killing a single jedi, but clones. So that quote still stands.

This is why his turn is so painful and tragic. Clone Wars gave us the heroic Anakin. Commander, friend and Mentor.
If there was more episodes we'd probably get that transition better
Well there actually are a lot of moments in the Clone Wars, where his dark tendencies shine through.
Like when he choked Poggle, raged on Clovis, raged on the Slavers, raged on Hardeen, killed Trench like it was a joke, and more.
I think there is a video on YT, where all his dark moments from TCW are compiled.
Nah there were many times in TCW that showed his dark side
Cooper Hitt i feel exactly the same clone wars anakin and prequels anakin dont feel like the same person and its extremely hard for me to imagine clone wars anakin transitioning to vader
Also notice how before Rex draws his blasters he says to the clones “wait, Ill do it”
At first you think, oh maybe Order 66 didn’t effect him and his stalling for Ashoka to get away. Then you realize no he’s not faking it and even worse he’s succumbing to his inhibitor chip. A truly great scene
I actually think he was faking it, intending to help her; then started crying when he realized he couldn't overpower it.

Ahsoka, Ezra, maybe Bo, and others are probably way more important than we know
ahsoka should stick to tv shows
When the rots music started playing during order 66 I shed a tear

Another detail Feloni put in the episode that you may have missed is when Rex responds to Palpatine with “yes lord Sidious”. No other clone says this, instead something along the lines of “yes my lord”. Rex was the only one who momentarily figured out Sidious’ identity (based on what he learned in the last few episodes) before succumbing to Order 66 and Palpatine even paused for a moment before disconnecting because he was surprised.
It's because Rex was trying to fake it I believe, so he said what he thought Sidious wanted to hear. Then a few seconds later the chip actually starts kicking in
Rex was a traitor to the republic!

If Darth Maul had freed himself, then what would be the point of the Mandalorian Jedi Jail thing
No the clones opened it and they were about to kill him when Ashoka killed the clones and fully let mual free.
Crex MM correction, Ahsoka didn’t kill the Coruscant Guard Clones hehe
Crex MM I think his powers were still blocked n stuff though. He probably couldn't've done anything
Josiah McElhinney what are you talking about? Asoka let him out. for the second time dude can u not read???
Crex MM Holy fuck, you're brain dead. I am aware that she let him out, jackass. I am saying that if Darth Maul had freed himself, like the creator of this video was saying he would have preferred, it would have rendered the cage he was in pretty much useless. If the cage is designed to hold force users and someone in it could just escape using the force, it'd be about as useful as you are.
Hearing Hayden's voice brought tears to my eyes
Anakin_210 yessssssse
Anakin_210 weirdo
I loved seeing mauls rampage down the corridors, without his lightsaber, just using the force. Super cool stuff
Did anyone else notice the droid that was extremely like chopper
That dave feloni droid voice. Remember ge voiced chopper
I believe it was chopper, just in better shape. Same sounds, same dish above his head, and same arm/hand he uses to access the terminal.
I noticed that right away! Glad I wasn’t the only one
They called him cheep ( CHEP)?
@@limptuna7687 nah it's a different droid
Chopper was shot down in a Y Wing on Ryloth in the beginning of the Clone Wars
Man that scene where Rex is just standing there shaking with his helmet had me dying. This was the best episode by far. That scene alone made you feel everything that he was going through and what was about to happen. Amazing
