Really great tutorial. To me this resembles more to an old fashioned CRT screen rather than an LED screen (more specifically a Sony Trinitron display) . The LED's in LED screens are positioned quite differently and don't have the ghosted outlines as shown here (where CRT's did have that) Great tutorial nonetheless and a great technique!
At around 4:39 you skipped the parts on Blend Mode and Pattern. At least on my system, they were not set as they were on your video. Blend Mode=Normal and Pattern=LED Light Pattern 2.
Nothing was skipped. It doesn't matter what the settings are when you first open the pattern; as long as you set them as I instructed. Note: The first pattern was created using an adjustment layer, while the second pattern was created using a layer style.
