Martin, it would be interesting to see the tutorials on how to replicate a known work: a movie poster, a cover of a music album, etc. So that we too could repeat the poster of the Game of Thrones, for example, but with a personal photo. Thanks very much Marty I followed your workflow for the lightning and it worked out very well! I just couldn't create the lightning with your procedure so I had to download a png file from the internet but apart from that I used all your tricks, fantastic!

After you download the PSD file and then open it, you'll see the clouds, as well.
Hey marty, just double checking with you at minute 7:42/3 when we inverted the selecting, because we inverted it does that mean in levels that the white input is on the left or is that still the black input? just a tad confused. thanks
The black input is always on the left.

With your Move Tool active, uncheck "Auto-Select" at the top left of your screen.
How did you do that last lightning animation?
I made individual images and edited them together using my screen-recording software.

When I render the lightning it is always very small and will lose details due to scaling up. I am using a 36 mp camera. Are there any way to create lightning with higher resolution?
The "Difference Clouds" filter has a tighter pattern the higher the resolution is.

I do all of my animated intros by editing individual images inside my screen-recording software, Camtasia. FYI: I did a few animations tutorials. Go to my channel and click the magnifying glass icon (next to “About”). Type in "animation".
