I made a Lava Monster Attacking this Diorama

- I saw some miniature bases painted like lava and thought I'd try to recreate the effect in a diorama. What better way than to have a lava monster attack!
Let me know what you think of the final results.

YES MORE TINY THINGS
Of course!
It's absolutely volcanic! Very neat.
Thank you!
Wonderful diorama, the monster looks great and the wheeled tanks kinda cute.
Thanks! Small scales are pretty fun
Full watch. Awesome work as always.
Great finish.
Mike
Thanks Mike!
It turned out amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!!
That turned out great!
Thanks!
Great build, I love that you used a Bulette one of my favorite D&D monsters.
Thanks! I like how it looks next to the 6mm vehicles without even scaling it up 😂
if you find out why that resin always gets sticky, let me know too!
I have no idea why it happens but aomeone suggested wiping it off with isopropyl alcohol
Loving it!
Thank you!
this is awesome bud. the Bulette is one of my favorite old School DnD monsters.
Thank you! It's a cool beastie 👍
So many small details! 😮
It's really insane!
Very cool!!!!
Thank you!
Would love to see some Lava LED's for a glowing effect
I did think about it at the beginning!
This diorama turned out amazing Ben. Fantastic job brother
😁😁😁
Awesome work!
Thanks Nick!
Well done. That's gorgeous 😃😃
Thank you!
Those prints are crisp! Really awesome result!
Thanks! I have a pretty basic printer but it's resin which is lightyears beyond quality of FDM
Brilliant. Love the lava. Very cool build
Thanks!
I love your tiny dioramas. Great work !
Thank you 😁👍
Looks awesome!
Thank you!
Fantastic Ben! Simply fantastic! My only critique is that there isn’t anything that can possibly follow: “One thing I need to improve on…” I do enjoy your videos.
Haha you're too kind! I have more cool things in the works 😎👍
Just wipe the off stickiness with IPA. Great build!
Thanks for the tip!
Wow!!!! Really awesome 😊😊😊
Thank you!
@@BPCustomCreations you are welcome 🤗
Amazing build, LOVE all the little details! Nice JOB!!! Love the Lava IDEA! I may borrow it one day, "cough cough" steal.. hehe! THANKS FOR THIS ONE! So I had to add this, For my Resin, I too had the same problem. Sticky SO I Set it out in the sun for like an hour and it seemed to work that way. But One NEVER knows for others! And YES more littles... love em!!
Thanks! Steal away 👍 I'll keep trying with the resin over here 😅
yet another spectacular insanely cool build. i agreenwith jim making the bubbles must have been a pain. been awhile hope alls well.
Thanks! Things are hectic and busy but I'll get through it 😁👍
Wow - that is absolutely fantastic Ben! Lord I can only imagine the frustration chasing those beads down when applying them 😂
The trick is to just pretend you didn't see 👀😂

Man this got me inspired to play some more battletech. I am a sucker for mechs >.
What scale is battletech? You could proxy some of the Full Spectrum Dominance models in for the mechs
That was so well done, Ben. Love the bubbling lava! Good call on the frame finish too. Keep these coming! 🍁☕👍
Thanks Andrew! The lava effect came out alright but you should see the @orc.butt guy on instagram!
I've found with some of the resin I've used dries differently on the material I've used it on. More porous stuff like foam takes longer and is hard to actually accurately guess what the actual curing time is.
Yeah, this foam was not cooperating so I sealed it first and then tried again
😅 my friend you are the king of dioramas that is totally bitchin you keep up the great work have a good one nice to see you back on UA-cam and God bless my friend
Thank you JC!
Those bubbles are great! You could also use those pushpins that have the round heads for the ones you elevated - some even come in a pearlescent white.
That would be a very easy alternative to doing it this way but I didn't have any 😅😅
Fantastic! I find most projects has a phase where you think you ruined it. You always gotta keep moving forward 👍
Very true! I don't think I've crossed the line into unsalvagable yet. Then again I haven't attempted a resin pour 🤞😅
Great video! I have had that problem with the UV resin SO many times, it seems like if its open for more than about 5 minutes it starts doing that haha.
Thanks! Yeah I wondered about that. I'm planning on doing an actual resin pour soon so hopefully that kind of thing goes okay 😅
Fantastic video, Ben! It's such a cool diarama. Love the lava bubbles. They're my favourite.
Thanks Ames!
Impressive work..I need to practice on some of those cracks for my Dioramas..I did a gundam Diorama a while back and those cracks did turn out the way I wanted to..so I might just go back and redo that again..thanks for the tip.
Cracks at small scales are hard to do but making everything scifi or fantasy is a good way to not have to care about realism to an extent 😂

Agree.
Excellent work!
Thank you!
Great work! The lava looks awesome! I really like the whole scene you built here.
Thanks! I try to have an interesting composition when I make a diorama
I use a different brand of clear uv craft resin, but I also find it takes a while for the resin to lose it's tackiness. After about a day or two it does though.
Yeah someone else suggested wiping it with alcohol.
Guess I could chuck it in my resin print wash station 😀 @@BPCustomCreations
Thought I commented on this already, but great job! Those prints are super nice, how do you avoid print lines?
Thanks! The Lazy Forger stuff is all presupported really well. Orientation is a big factor in print quality and I have no idea how to orient prints well on my own haha
I hear the star ship troopers terran comand theme
I just saw that movie for the first time a few weeks ago! I really liked it
@@BPCustomCreations I haven’t seen the movie (or it’s sequels) but i’ve played the games and they are really good
