- I made my first real art toy custom. I usually work a lot with diecast or scratch building but I teamed up with @DRToysCreations for a fun challenge. He is making a diecast car and I made an action figure. be sure to Check out both videos!

one small tip you may not know the paint you use on the base will crackle better if you let it air dry but I know the struggle of wanting things to speed up to get to the next step : )

I thought about it! But I remember a while ago he says he doesn't have a PO box anymore because there were just too many things being sent in and he didn't have the time to appreciate them all

Man that paint job on the alien head is fantastic! I was thinking it came like that! Can I ask what paints you used? Was it a contrast paint?
Thanks! The paints are just regular vallejo air. I used a few different shades selectively in blotches to give a mottled appearance. It makes me want to paint aomething bigger like a monster in this way!

@BP Custom Creations I've been watching the Dr work for a year or two now and I look at some of his videos and just think he's never going to make something cool from that. But some how he does it every time. It's a challenge and 1 you both produce amazing results at.

That paintjob on the head looks amazing! You managed to make the whole bash look exactly like something Dave would build, very nicely done my dude! I actually got tripped up by seeing both your thumbnails at the same time as the names didn't line up with the thumbnail.

Are you planning on dipping more into general kitbashing after this project? I had this idea running in my head where it might be cool to make custom action figure drivers that go with Gaslands car builds, kinda like an avatar for the car.
They obviously would not be able to fit in the cars scale wise but i feel like it could add an extra dimension to play around with. We know the sponsors, we see the cars, but what about the people who actually race for a place on Mars?
The driver/avatar idea is really cool! It reminds me of a driver selection screen in a video game with the car in the background behind a character. I totally see why you would do a double take with the thumbnails for this one too 😂

So the term "starlin alien" means "human with an animal head" and "banal and lazy design"
