This is a great video channel. I have a 2024 Nissan Pro 2x in boulder grey the same as yours and I really like it. I’ve had a few electrical problems with it and my dealer fixed them right away. I’ve taken a lot of your tips…adding decal inserts to the tailgate and it looks really nice! Once the weather warms up here in Santa Fe NM, I’ll tackle the tailgate lube before I have any problems. Again, you put out great videos on this truck! Please don’t stop and please keep up the great work!
As a new to me 2023 Frontier Pro-X owner, really enjoy your content. Good DYI tip. I don’t have the auto lock tail gate and have been considering it. Would appreciate an install guide on the installation of the tailgate auto lock. Thank you.
Thank you for this Video! I have a 2024 pro4x and I have been having this problem. I have to open then close the gate, then it locks.....🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ kinda pain in the butt..... but I'll grease my locking mechanism now. Thanks again for your Videos
Yes, the remote wouldn't always unlock it. My local dealer serviced it under warranty. No issues since. Although I may remove the cover to verify what all they lubed.
Thanks for this video. I have the auto locking feature and I'm sure it needs lube since it cycles everytime I get in &out of the truck....Seems odd that it wears so quickly for you when you probably don't lock it very often.
@sinna7060 i think it was just blackened from the plastic on metal but it's still weird. I don't lock it very often and opening the tailgate isn't a daily thing for me.
Hate to tell you you’re gonna have to open your tailgate back up and flip that white bushing back on the rod like it’s supposed to be. In your video I noticed that it was 180° away from where it’s supposed to be. Rotate it to the right and clip it onto the rod that clip on that bushing is what keeps the rod from sliding out.
Hi CC, Thought I'd park my Off topic question here regarding the installation of a Saddle style toolbox in the bed. The mounting brackets come up under the bed side rail and attach to the underside of the bed rail. I can't tell if the top of the rail is just plastic or if there's a layer of metal along with the top plastic border. Here is a install video that shows how the mounting bracket is attached. @@CanadianCruisin Thx, It's a little hard to tell and doesn't seem very strong. I think my toolbox will be 2, 3 or 4 times the thickness and strength. You put my mind at ease before a big purchase.

Thank you! I have added this issue for awhile now and can’t wait to fix it!
@jamesgriffin2028 a nice simple fix at least
Love you videos brother! All your videos are super helpful and insightful

@atomicplus-us I will most likely be adding it in the near future so stay tuned. Thanks for watching

@@ZeroCool_1220 glad it helped. Thank you for watching
I did this on mine a month after purchase. Used a silicone lube in the mechanism and rods
Have any of your Frontiers had the locking tailgate problem?

@@ericmorales9156 I didn't even notice that. Thanks for letting me know.
can attest, lubed my locking mechanism [electronic] up at 6mo ownership. no issues since.
@@bscabl i still find it crazy Nissan doesn't add anything in there. Just bone dry haha
@CanadianCruisin yea, cost cutting 101 lol
Do you have a Anti-Theft Tailgate Lock? To prevent getting the tailgate stolen.

@sinna7060 I just checked it out. Its metal and plastic.

Don't know if you noticed?🎉, but your white clip was not clipped.
@Studmn i didn't haha. You're the second one to point it out. I'll go back in there and fix it
I've never locked my tailgate to date (none electronic). Come on Nissan just a bit of grease wouldn't affect your bottom line surely!
@Blue-moon12 I was a little shocked it had nothing haha.
