that stock flywheel gave you a good launch,& the advanced flywheel gives you a faster rev. i'm using a stock XL camshaft in my small big block, the Honda GX240,242cc's. The smallest big block ever offered and is a well balanced engine from factory. this big block is some kind of awesome stuff!! i'm using the pz27 carburetor on mine and it likes the 120 jet.
Dave, you gotta love a big block, nice build, I thought that 140 main jet was going to be to fat, I was wrong. Looks like you got yourself another sweet cruiser, now you and the mini bike expert can ride together……
Them BB a beast I builded one with a hemi 420cc and man I was scared how much torque it had and I had it straight chain with 14/60 gearing hit speeds of 86 mph the more gas I put to it the faster it went!!!! Love this build brother!!! I want to see if run without that TC!!!!
I finally bought a mini bike after wanting one forever! I rarely have the extra money to spend on this kind of thing so I had to buy a used one. It's the same bike as the one in the video I believe.... Only someone did a terrible job spray painting it... And I mean all of it lol they also destroyed the jackshaft bearings, lost the chain and only have two bolts hold the extremely loose rear sprocket on the wheel. The motor surprisingly runs but has no oil in it and they were using a brake lever for a throttle lol it has no front brake (I have no idea if it came without one originally) and the fake gas tank is barely holding on. The seat had a bandana on it and is completely wrapped in plastic (maybe so the bandana doesn't get wet)... Other than that it's not so bad 😂 I was originally going to get one that was all stock and still in new condition but they wanted too much for it and at the last second I found this pos for way less and figured I could get it and a better motor for less than the other one so I went with it. Everyone puts the 212 predators on theirs so I wanted something bigger and a couple hours after I bought the bike, I bought a 420 predator too that came with the clutch, gov delete, intake, exhaust, and electric start. Only thing is the guy I got it from said he took the balance shaft out because "they tend to explode"... So that's all I'm worried about... My motor exploding BECAUSE he took it out... But anyway, I'm glad I found these videos because they answered just about every question I had about putting these two together... Except how much the 40 series torque converter costs but that's easy to figure out. I'm just glad to find out everything was a simple swap... And some minor welding but a flux core welder should handle that fine. Now if I can just find a torque converter that's relatively cheap I'll be in business! I can't wait to ride this to my buddy's house and bust a wheelie when we race them 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for making these videos. They were exactly what I wanted/needed to see!
Yeah I've been eyeing this engine on and off for the last couple of years cause I always see it for sale on Ebay but I never pulled the trigger on it cause I wasn't sure if it could be modified enough to make it really haul ars to my liking. Wasn't sure if all the same upgrades were available for it that we usually do on the small blocks and figured it would be a waste of money if I couldn't get it to go faster than my modified 224 but now the wondering is over thanks to you lol. I see that thing RIPS!
This big block series couldn’t come at a better time, I’ve been buying parts to build a powerfist 420cc quad out of a taotao quad, it’s a lot of DIY like almost everything on the drive train it being swapped lol
I purchased 2 digital tach kits from gomotorsports out on the east coast. Not expensive $22.00. It’s a tach, recalls your max RPM, and it’s an hour meter to keep track of how long your engines been running. Easy one wire hook up. Just wraps around your ignition wire. I have one on a fully built ghost. The engines built to spend 10k RPM. I’ve only taken it to 77k it’s crazy seeing the tech read that.
It will with some modifications I fit a 440 in a ct200u-ex and it's a tight fit lol but definitely possible. I will say it's worth it to stretch the frame
@@Possumliving also go with a 40 series torque converter and be ready to cusom fab the driven pulley bearing support in place for proper engine alignment
@Possumliving tbh dude the ct200u-ex frame is ok but if I had to do it again I'd opt for a frame that has beefier tubing because after modifying that engine with gh compression, cam, ported big valve head, ratio rockers, stroker crank, and thinner head gasket it's almost too much motor for the bike lol

The Maximum spring pressure for a small block with slip-on retainers is around 26 lbs. I have quite a few running on the channel without a problem as long as you don't add too much

Love your channel, I have a 420 on a Manco big cat. It has a 10 tooth gear on the T/C and 80 tooth rear gear. What front gear should I use to keep the front tire on the ground?
That’s pretty trick. I’ve never seen anyone sneak a billet rod in like that before. Without removing the piston from the cylinder. I take it You just left the inside clip? And only removed the outer one on the wrist pin.
Awesome video. 👍 that valve spring compressor idea is pretty slick. Do you think I'd be waisting my time putting a nr racing 250 twister cam in my 420? I'm trying to get around buying a billet rod and flywheel and that cam is designed for only 5000 rpm.
Thanks! With 5K RPM you would think you would be OK But I don't have enough time with these big blocks to be sure. If it was me I would try it and If it comes apart that's just part of the fun LOL But That is just me 😃

Be neat to see a quick episode where you make wheelie bars. electrical conduit is super cheap and works well. Bet the 0-30 would come WAY down then.
You have to wonder if the Hemi head would have made much of a difference. Great video
For me the hemi head wouldn't be worth the extra $200 dollars I would have had to pay to get a Predator 420
get the comet 44 magnum driver people use it to cruise and race has a customizable 5000 rpm stall
