WELL & TRULY. Also, I believe that these 'THICK AS' tourists who think they have the right to touch one of the royal guards horses OR reigns, should be fined and heavily. There are signs up, warning them about not touching! What else does it take. Yes, the Kings Guards have got discretion as Ive seen which is fantastic, especially when it comes to the young disabled - all ages and a retired Queens Guard and similar!
He is a retired officer from the household division, it is how one salutes in planters. Civilians do not salute, it is not their place and the troops do not expect it. Common courtesy would be nice, which they get on the whole, but some do take advantage. Such is the nature of public duties.

In 2023, people are too busy on their phones, eyes down and zombie-like, to even NOTICE others....

The problem arises when you spend 90% of waking hours staring aimlessly at a screen. I work with a few 16 and 17 year old who really do find it difficult to make eye contact, start or continue a conversation or wrench themselves away from 'devices' for 15 minutes. However, I hope you are well, and I'm sorry to learn of your ongoing mobility issues...Keep your chin up: Keep on pushing forwards! ❤
I'm 52 I can recall and I would still to this day stop to remove any hat should I see a funeral Cortez pass by. Just look at what people idolise this generation the likes of the Kardashians it says it all..

Didn't "sort of" salute, he did salute, that is how the Cavalry salute while holding a sword.
He did salute the retired officer. If you look at the coloured bands on his hate you will see he served as an officer in the Regiment
