The reason why he seems to be a hero is to send his younger brother back to home. In this movie two brothers are main charactors. Before war older brother worked hard to support his younger brother go to school because his brother was a brilliant boy. But the war broke out and two brothers were forced to join army. Through out all the movie older brother sacrifice himself to get prized and send his brother home, before him being captured by north korean army Sorry for my bad english 😅
Also, the elder brother wants to get the Taegeuk Order, to get his younger bro outta the Army. But it was so hard to get a Taegeuk, 2 Filipinos got it, one's posthumous, another's later on his life.
Always loved how the dude playing the older brother legit runs about like anyone would underfire and in mud, awkward af, he even does it in other battles hes just a normal guy in a very bad situation
This is late but from my pov those ammo kinda located in a bunker and that bunker most likely a command centre for the area they the battle was going on ..so by blowing up that bunker it signals that the NK already lost their position and leader ( as he beat em up to the death ) and wise for any remaining NK soldiers to surrender ..I mean later on by relieving that area he and the rest of the company open up supply line from UN forces

WHy he has to burn the armory?? Those guns and ammunition can be used to supply his troops!!
Tom Xaider he did that because without any ammo or weapons the north koreans will have no choice but to surrender.
@@haoluong1814 You know that they are winning the battle so it is wise to capture those weapons and ammo
