Physical Media is SO Important

  • 87% of all games released in the US are in danger of disappearing forever. Preserving video games is such an important issue that we should all be concerned about. I buy almost every game physically if I can, even waiting months to years to play a title if it means I can get a physical copy. If physical Media goes away, we will have little to no way to preserve our titles if digital storefronts shut down.

Hard agree. Streaming and digital purchases are rife with issues, and while it has increased access to a lot of movies, songs, and games, it’s not viable long term.

N1NTINDO is a villain in all of this. I get the itch to play retro Pokemon on the DS and GBA and I am not sure what my options are. Stupid Konami is the reason I have spent some serious money in the first 4 Silent Hill games. Not good the state of retro

Oh for sure. Nintendo makes incredible games but they are absolutely trash when it comes to preserving games and letting consumers actually enjoy their products. And Konami is also so terrible - I wish they'd sell Silent Hill and Castlevania so we can get someone that actually cares about the properties to make new games.
