I think it was kind of predictable tbh. 5th generation was 240p/30 fps. 6th gen was 480p/30 fps. 7th gen was 720p/30 fps. 8th gen was 1080p/30 fps. This gen is 1440p/30 fps. But you now have upscaling and dynamic resolution to do 60 fps. But it can be as low as 720p/40 fps suring heavy moments. They always exaggerate what the capabilities of the new consoles will be. It's been this same old song and dance since the Panasonic 3DO.

I love Zelda 2. Maybe since I'm old enough to have played them in order and found my rhythm in it pretty quick as a kid. I don't find it as hard as most people seem to. I think it's because a lot of people (that I know) weren't aware they can level up their stats in any order. Most just assume they have to do it in the suggested order for some reason... Once you get the downward thrust attack it gets a whole lot easier as well, in my opinion. My only issue at first.... Well, "I am error.". 😂 Same issue as Castlevania 2. Translation wasn't always accurate, especially with a turn of phrase or cultural idioms.

Well, Geno is one of my most wanted fighters in Smash. He's more plausible due to his starry abilities.

Really love the video, and I absolutely love the Chell love, I think thats a super underrated smash pick. The ONLY thing i can't really get behind is Chunky Kong, I just see it way more likely that Funky Kong is an echo instead of giving us a 3rd unique Kong character

I never like the term “wasted slot” but Geno would absolutely fit that category. He shows up in 3 games, and wasn’t even included in the superstar saga remake. He’s not the main protagonist of his game, barely heard of outside of the talk of smash, and isn’t a big “old timer” rep like Banjo & Kazooie is. He’s doing just fine in the Mii costume category.

Making the echoes a costume accomplishes nothing, they already require about the same amount of development work. If it bugs you you can just hide them on the select screen. Very pointless complaint tbh. It's also not viable for a few of them, like Ken and Chrom/Lucina because they have major gameplay differences.

I want Alucard Tepes , Adol Christin, Seliph and then Noah from XB3. I never even end up maining swordfighters is the crazy thing. pipe dreams: Valkyrie from Valkyrie no Densetsu and Fei Fong Wong.

I really want to see Trixie and Funky Kong. -Paper Mario move set would be cool if it was like pokemon trainer where you can swap between party members to use a couple of unique moves. -Knuckles or Tails would be my choice for another sonic addition. -Dribble and Spitz, Orbulon, Dr. Crygor, 9-Volt or Pyoro from warioware would rule. -Rayman would be great and i would toss in a vote for Klonoa as well. - Witch Doctor from Diablo III(due to diablo special switch console release) - Chocobo from chocobo dungeon would be my choice for another final fantasy character and it would be cool to see another yoshilike character - Conker would be the ultimate addition I'm with you lol. - Toe Jam and Earl maybe? - The Castle Crashers - Geno and Waluigi (duh) - The drum from Taiko No Tatsujin - and finally a Joker card from Balatro as the new meme character Great ideas for additions!

i'm not necessarily against echo fighters but i just find it weird how weirdly they are handled, some have minor changes that are enough to set them apart (the links, dark pit, dr mario for example) but some are literally the exact same (daisy, dark samus, richter) and i just feel like they need to commit to one. if they want echo characters to be costumes, why does alph not count as one then? if they want echos to have changes then why do some with none exist? i just feel like they should've picked a lane or atleast made the characters without changes skins like alph. that is something i would love to see in smash 6 actually, better alts for characters... we got a taste of that in ultimate with stuff like wedding and builder mario but i'd love to see every character get the unique models treatment since i feel like visual customization is a natural next step when the roster is already in a good spot

I know I personally don't keep the cases unless they're small like the switch, psp, 3ds Ds etc. I have to ageee with your wife that I find the clutter annoying to deal with. This goes DOUBLE for n64 and other cardboard "cases". I have a decent genesis collection and it's all just the cartridges thanks to how bulky those old retro cases can be, and how unreliable and gross the cardboard cases for stuff like sonic 3d blast can get. I have to agree with you fully on the neat freak side of things and having a "proper" way to handle hardware. I treat my room and living space the same way. I used to struggle with completionism in games as well but in the end I have to remind myself I'm here to have fun and there IS no wrong way to play games. I still haven't beaten donkey kong country returns BECAUSE I couldn't stand beating a level without getting everything in it. Next time I play that game I'm just gonna bee line to the ending. Beating a game is more important to me I'm guilty of having a huge backlog but I know I will get to it before I die. I just HAVE to. Currently ff4 and ogrebattle 64 are top two on my list of games to play. It's just hard to find the motivation to sink into these RPGs that last easily 60+ hrs. I try to convince myself but the length it takes to beat them is so daunting I often end up watching UA-cam instead of playing games like I want to (like right now for instance) I'm SUPER guilty of rebuying games. I must've bought symphony of the night over fifteen times at this point. Captain toads treasure tracker and undertale are other ones I'm guilty of doing this with but it doesn't stop there. I love piracy but I can't help but support the devs officially whenever I can and so games like Celeste end up purchased tons of times by me. A big gaming habit that I have that baffles people around me is the fact I'm particular about what console to get what game on even if the game is NOT exclusive. As an example, I only get sonic games on Xbox consoles because I view the Xbox as a true continuation of sega's hardware legacy. I got the crash games on ps4 even though they're available everywhere. And I stick to Nintendo for final fantasy despite the newest entries never being on there. It's just something innately satisfying to me, and I've run into situations where I didn't own a ps4 and I really wanted crash n sane trilogy, and my mom would ask why I don't just get it on switch. Well because it's not FOR switch. It's really silly and completely pointless but so is this whole hobby lol. This was fun to talk about and a neat topic I don't see discussed often.

If we got Ultimate DX, I would want to see "everyone is here" come to more of the game. As in, stages, items, game modes. My only true gripe with Ultimate is the lack of new stages outside of DLC, so I think getting all past stages back would be a nice way to combat that.

Mii Gunner is my main. Ever since Twisted Metal 4 introduced custom cars, I've appreciated custom characters. I agreed with everything you said in the first 3 minutes, but no this is a basic for me. Totally caught me off guard.

Some characters I would love to see playable in future Smash rosters are Deoxys, Clefairy, Shantae, Shovel Knight, Jill from Drill Dozer, Dixie Kong, Cecil from FF IV with half of his costumes being him as a Dark Knight and the other half being his White Knight look with some elemental move changes, Captain Syrup from the Wario Land series, Dr Eggman, Tails (who utilizes his inventions in a few of his attacks), Mega Man Zero, Hsiang Ko (because of her ability to toss random items at people which fits better in Smash than the MVC games), and Tetra.

with SSBU:D, you mention More!, but didn't mention the story mode. we need an Ultimate Deluxe that adds 3-5 characters, a brawl-esque (but bigger and better) story mode (this being the focus and main addition to the game), full proper break the targets and board the platforms modes, and trophies would be nice. a motion control option like Brawl had would also be cool. that's all plenty of work and new stuff for us to enjoy. then add however much DLC you want, if they do 10, great, but just 5 or 6 allows them to chill and begin the NEXT smash game that much sooner. I hope they take their time and we get THIS Smash game around 2027 if need be.

I’ve been kinda done with PlayStation for a while, there wasn’t much to play anymore, PS Plus was lackluster, and there’s absolutely no backwards compatibility anymore as well as a few other reasons, but the nail in the coffin was when my friend gave me his old Xbox One. The first thing I noticed was how much more I loved the dashboard compared to PlayStation’s, I then subscribed to game pass since I was only given a couple of games with it, and was absolutely blown away at how massive their selection is, I was even blown away at the cloud streaming, I played through the entirety of Hi-Fi Rush and forgot I was cloud streaming most of the time, whereas with PlayStation it was a a powerpoint slideshow every time i’ve tried to use it. I also love being able to play some games from the 360 and og Xbox, so of course I went and bought Sonic Adventure 2. Those are the main reasons why I will be getting a Series X instead of a PS5 if and when I upgrade to next gen P.S. Play Hi-Fi Rush if you end up subscribing to game pass, it’s one of the best games i’ve played in years and has an amazing soundtrack

I think one thing about changing movesets is that the smash team just want to keep everything the same for the og players. Imagine if your main has been DK for the past 25 years, since smash 64, and suddenly hes a completely different character. That said, I totally agree that the most of the original 12 have super boring movesets that definitely need to be reworked.

Random Tip: the disc tray of this thing sometimes was horrible, if a disc ever gets stuck there's a tiny little hole on the left side you can poke something in for the disc to come out. I also recommend buying game codes from sites like Gamivo, Eneba, etc. is the cheapest way of getting a lot of games, all you need is a free VPN to redeem them and you're good to go.
