    i think the reason we're seeing so many streaming/subscription services raise their prices is due to them spending more money on the content they provide than actually making money from it. there's too much content and i would rather pay less if it meant losing a good portion of it plus it would be easier to choose what games to play or movies to watch

      I think you're definitely right - inflated budgets seems like a big culprit. I would also rather have a small amount of quality over a large quantity of games. It would be way easier to maintain.

    The fact that they couldn't even last ONE console generation before increasing prices says so much

      Truly! It really sucks to see, but I guess that's the way it is these days.

      I mean didn't they go like 6 or 7 years before raising the prices prior to last years increase? GP is similar to PS+ at this point besides Xbox's top tier is obviously night and day better with day1 releases.

      Pony PS increased their prices too for their dog 💩 service and added no value too it.
      Xbox are adding even more value to their service so a price increase is warranted.

    I don't know if you do any video/audio editing. The very start of this video has a jump scare lol. 0:00 The audio for some reason is louder at the very beginning. I am new to editing myself. I found that DaVinci Resolve is relatively easy to learn while being powerful for the free tier. I try not to pass judgement. I don't live your life, or know what it takes to make your type of content. I like what you do though!

      Haha no I don't do much in the way of editing. I didn't realize I was so loud at the beginning 😂 thanks for letting me know, I really appreciate it! I'll have to check that out.

    I bought an Xbox S, got Master Chief Collection (only interested in CE and Halo 2), Gears of War 1 & 2 and Castlevania SOTN. Apart from that I just use my Jungle and Ice N64s & SNES mini. That's all I'll ever need.

      Very nice 👌 I'm accumulating my Xbox collection right now. Got Rare Replay, Sunset Overdrive, and the Chief Collection, and I plan on getting the Gears games and maybe Fable and Forza.

    Yeah if you increase the price of something I think you should try to increase the value or at least keep it the same, not take things away. What a strange choice. Also I understand a company wanting to increase prices (I mean they are a company, their entire goal is to make money) but based on what I have seen from other companies this won't be the last time they increase the price. I wonder what price it will eventually plateau on? As for my personal experience with gamepass, I have never had it. I am a collector so if I want to play a game I will purchase it so I can own it (hopefully physically). I am also preparing myself for nintendo to increase the price of NSO when the switch 2 comes out. When it first came out $19.99 made sense but they have been adding to it over time, and they will probably start wanting to increase the price soon. They may start adding some more things when switch 2 comes out like gamecube games, which might add to the value at least.

      Right? More value for more money makes sense, but paying more for less features is stupid. I think you're right, NSO will definitely be more in the future. Access to classic games on multiple consoles is a big perk. I'm mostly hoping they improve the netcode more than anything else.

    Yeah they are maximising their profit at the expense of its customers. Offering no value whatsoever. It's crazy honestly

      @Mmachine88 21 день тому

      No value? What's crazy is you can honestly say that and believe your being genuine. Day1 releases of 1st party games and 3rd party games isn't valued?? You cannot be an Xbox user if you believe that. That's nuts dude. Just this month has multiple day1 releases into the service. Every single month has day1 releases...multiple day1 releases.

      Day one releases are going away except for the premium tier, so the lower tiers are losing value but going up in price.

      It's really baffling that the lowest tier is essentially Xbox Live Gold with a handful of games you can play but way more expensive than Gold ever was.

      @Mmachine88 20 днів тому

      @retroreviews_ I do agree with that, but it is literally in line with PS+ except if you pay yearly, the Xbox varient is $5 cheaper . I believe PS+ is $9.99 month or $80 a year, xboxs version is $75 a year. Doesn't change the fact that it's a rip off.

      @retroreviews_ though I'll say the major difference though us that GP standard is now including xbox live, which normal gamepass did not include. So you're trading day1 releases for MP access

      Which is covered in this video and in multiple comments, if you cared to do any due diligence at all 👍
