Beautiful restoration job you did transforming a rusty machete into a kitchen knife. Even the pitted surface looks better and gives the knife a unique look. It also cuts cleanly. Excellent work.
A recommendation. Round handles make edge alignment more difficult, and affect how well something can cut. I’d recommend rectangular or oval handles instead.

I think it cojld have looked better if welding the rusty areas of the blade and making it fully smooth
Not sure if the hardening took if you drilled and tapped that easy
