- In this video, the Texas White bass run of 2023 has begun! I am white bass fishing in January and there are some white bass that have already came into the river! I also provide you a few white bass fishing tips for the white bass run of 2023. White bass, or sand bass as we like to call them in Texas are a great time when they run up the creeks and rivers to spawn. White bass fishing Texas has some of the best white bass fishing there is. Sand bass fishing can be a great time, especially if you find them stacked up in a hole! There will be plenty more white bass fishing videos coming to the channel.

Was driving through Tennesse colony TX. Came across a small creek, along the road. Flipped back around and thought I hit it up from crappie. Was surprised to find a treasure trove of crappie. This was last week, had a blast.

White bass or hybrid? Check the tongue patch, white bass have one tongue patch, hybrids have two parallel patches.

in my neck of the woods every bass you caught would of been ticketed as undersized hybrid

Look at the tongue. 2 tooth patches on back of tongue =hybrid
1 tooth patch on back of tongue= white bass

The only problem I have with your theory is that white bass don't make beds like you say. They spawn on top of the water, usually in swift moving waters. They'll also spawn for 3-4 months. They're more than likely prespawn feeding to build up reserves for all of the energy expended trying to breed with multiple females, fighting for position with other competing males, and fighting swift currents.
You know after I posted this video, I realized I had said make beds. Knowing they don’t make beds. I think I was thinking about crappie lol but I appreciate you for watching brother! God bless!

Heck yeah dude. I caught them white bass with inline spinners with my 6"6 one piece acc crappie stix.
The biggest fish I caught with it was a 6 pound 1 ounce bowfin slip corking for crappie.
I would not recommend doing that consistently with this rod for obvious reasons. But the fact I landed it was very impressive.

What river is he at? Just moved to Dallas and sick of the Suburb ponds. Lavern need a boat. What’s best rivers to catch crappie / white bass in the DFW area? Any help would be appreciated guys! What part of TX is this? North,central, east or south? Here in DFW its been cold and the fish have been deep and I don't have a boat. Been itching to go fishing so bad. Went trout fishing in Oklahoma a couple weeks ago and did really good but I don't have the money or time to drive up there every weekend would be nice to start slaying the sandies again on the fly rod

@@903fishing I know it's kinda hard to do in close quarters with trees behind you but when you find a good spot away from the trees or you see them busting on the surface there's nothing more fun than catching sandies with a 4wt fly rod. It takes a bit of practice casting but its rewarding when you learn how even a small Male can feel like a 2 or 3lb female. With spinning tackle either panther Martins or minnows under bobber is my weapon of choice. Love watching that bobber dip under

check their tongue l l is a hybrid/striper, a O is a white bass. easy google search shows the difference. I have also noticed white bass are shinier
