@@InspectahPatio Ending the first part (789) on your pinky or ring finger can make it so you just have to slide your pinky down to the 5 and you'll be set up that way. Dunno if that's any easier but I thought I'd share my thoughts
NICE!!!!! goddamn, i love vulfpeck, and i've always wanted to do one of their songs on bass but i don't think i'm good enough yet. joe dart is a legend, and i hope to be as good as him one day.
Hey man awesome cover and tabs! I don't know if anyone pointed this out already but the 8 at 1:54 is actually a 10, and also what you played. Awesome video, subbed!
I love this cover so much that I set my gym locker code to 1612 and I sing it in my head every time I need to remember it. (If you can track it down down then I applaud your dedication and you're welcome to steal my gym locker contents)
for the record, i so wish more bass players had this format. Tab right alongside what you play, marker indicating what notes being played, chords on the top so you see how they connect. U2GUD
that's awesome! I love this band/song so much, I actually just got a bass for myself today because of this song, even thought I've never played bass before
Im teaching myself to play bass guitar and have been practicing for like a month now and updating my progress on my channel. Trying to challenge myself to play this as a one month review this sunday- I know it might be too much for a month only, but I also see it as a way of learning, even if it doesnt work out. Really love the way you played it and also using this to practice. Thank you!!! You are amazing :)
at around 1:53 or 1:54 on the D7 chord, the last note should be in the 10th fret of the E string rather than 8. Been repeating it and in the video you also play it on the 10th fret. Great job btw! helped me make sure what I heard in the original video is right. Thanks dude!
Ohhh nice. See, my ears hear more of a E:3 A:0 A:3 A:3 than a E:3 E:5 A:3 A:5 but after watching this one, I find this much better. Your grove is golden btw.
jesus christ. never realized how rhythmically talented joe was until i saw the tabs, the ghost notes add so much fckn groove to the song. wowowow. great job on the video. now i understand why people ask for tabs lol
So you think you got it... you can play it up to speed. Then the second half comes and Joe Dart schools your ass. And the bass cover guy knows it, 'cause he's fucking good too. Good thing Cover dude puts the chords as well. Gives you a chance to improvise something and not totally suck at trying to play this one while reading the tab.
Wonderful song of a wonderful band! Tasteful playing! I love the tabs with the rythm underlining them. Dean Town and Daddy He Got A Tesla would be top choices!
excellent work! Thank you for this. The only little issue I found is that last C note in measure 36, which is actually a D note (10 fret) and that's also how you play it in the video
great tutorial! thanks very much man. just noticed a little mistake at 1:53, the last quaver should be the 10th fret rather than 8th, a D not a C. Correct me if I'm wrong xx much love.
After 2:54 I can't play it, I'll have to find the tabs in pdf so I can look all of the last part so I can cut it in small "digestible" pieces and practice them slowly.
rhythm. also helps you anticipate for the times where the ghost notes are replaced with audible notes. they arnt a neccessity, im sure sombody somewhere is playing without the ghost notes but for sombody who would like to use them this is the only tab ive found with them. wouldnt worry about getting the ghosts (if they really are giving you trouble) as long as all your other timing is on point.

Hi, Question: IfIi pledge for "Your Song Goes First!" i pay $5 for the song I select as well as the other 6 songs you upload each month for a total of $35? Is that a monthly recurring charge? Thanks!
a total of 30 monthly if you don't set a max amount, wich you can do easily. Virtually you can pay whatever you want monthly, but yes, by defaul is a monthly "per video" system

Same here!

every bassist gotta know vulfpeck
correction: every musician gotta know vulfpeck
First half: Sure, no problem.
Second half: Er, just hit any note and hope the bassline is passing it at the time.
@@nils7262 wow you're so talented ?! xD sEcOnD tRY?? wow
@Tariq Wiliams The 5-5-3 right after is what gets me for some reason. Cannot believe how much I have improved at this song though, almost 100%!

So. Funky.
You are the one who introduced me to the Vulf. Please receive my eternal gratitude!!!
Smooth playing by the way!
This was the first thing I learned! 2 months in and progress is going well! Thanks for the great vid!

You can be as good as anyone with dedication man, think of fellow musicians as teachers, not legends
Exactly. Joe Dart taught me I should give up bass entirely.
It wasn't the bassist who did the lesson in that video I think you're referring to (by channel Vulf). It was the keyboard player actually.
PinochleIsALie You got me here! This was really fuckin hilarious comment!
joe dart is still crazy talented....they all are!!!!
These guys are recently one of my favorite bands to jam to. Joe Dart can lay down some funky ass grooves.
Hey man awesome cover and tabs! I don't know if anyone pointed this out already but the 8 at 1:54 is actually a 10, and also what you played. Awesome video, subbed!

got it on 75% speed and the bass cover is still clean, great work on this one man! it's obvious you put a lot of work into it

Just watched their Madison Square garden show, had to come back to this!
You da man!
Just realized that walk up at 3 minutes is totally quoting Sir Duke. Rightfully so, these guys are clearly inspired by the greatest of funkers.
You should do "beastly"
I second that!

I know for sure there isn't anyone who improvises bass better on a I - IV - I than Joe Dart. Superb, faithful cover!

hey thanks for clarifying this, didnt think it sounded right then noticed that's not what he's actually playing haha
Wow, thanks so much, so glad to see you put up this song.
Awesome stuff! Once again you succeeded in introducing me to another great band! Thanks

I like it. And I like how you play it. And I know it is beyond my reach. But I will practice!

Hahah I laughed so hard at this because its absolutely true.
You should do a split screen cover of the bass battle from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.
this came up random on my scroll. love this beat.
Can you cover some Herbie Hancock? Maybe Watermelon Man, The Traitor or You Bet Your Love.
Wonderful song of a wonderful band! Tasteful playing!
I love the tabs with the rythm underlining them.
Dean Town and Daddy He Got A Tesla would be top choices!

Who the HELL thumbs down a Vulfpeck song?! Especially a tutorial.
He should be showing them in standard notation. Not TAB...

But the title of the video says tab...
nobody gives a fuck you fussy sulky prick go and watch a different video then
excellent work! Thank you for this. The only little issue I found is that last C note in measure 36, which is actually a D note (10 fret) and that's also how you play it in the video

New Vulfpeck coming out soon!
please do dean town aswell
I'm pretty new to subtle techniques like ghost notes. If i may ask are you muting them by floating above the note without pressing down?
beastly and dean town by vulfpeck are both insanely difficult bass songs to play perfectly but I know you can do them if you try.

The measure at 2:51 seems wrong to me, is anyone else seeing this?
Hey, if you could do I lost my treble long ago, that one has a killer bass line!
Any tips on getting better playing ghost notes?
you should do fugue state tho
After 2:54 I can't play it, I'll have to find the tabs in pdf so I can look all of the last part so I can cut it in small "digestible" pieces and practice them slowly.
Good luck. You got this!
Good stuff! what software did you use to create the video tab? Thanks!
Can you make a cover from "Last Train to the stars", Jack Bruce feat. Robin Trower?
