My names Matt Urch and I own and run Urchfab welding and fabrication.
I specialise in custom automotive fabrication from building roll cages to complete one off builds.
I built the worlds most unique and oldest drift car known as the drift rod which can be found on my channel.
So if your into grinding, welding, fabricating, drifting, going fast etc, your in the right place!
Dude, I have to say since you've told us all about you're future plans you seem so much happier. You're a talented guy and there's a lot of us out there that respect what you can do. Keep it up I'm proud of you for following your dream.
well said
I was thinking exactly the same 👍
Yeh I feel like I've made the right decision now, I was questioning myself a bit before. Thanks that's much appreciated.
Yeah! : )
I don't usually comment but the "hole in my gusset" line was priceless.
Holy Mother of Gusset!! Again and again pure bloody entertainment.
Looking mighty fine urch, I force myself to watch the full adverts so UA-cam should give you more cash - is that true?
Brilliant. Your videos have massively increased in quality recently. They are becoming very watchable. Keep up the good work and stay warm😁. !
PLEASE READ, I have never met Matt and like all of you I love his work and look forward to every video.
If Matt is gong to make this work he is going to need more Patrons. So far he has 51 and that is a start.
I challenge any real car guy or gal to anti up for a minimum of 5 bucks a month. Think about it.
You spend more than that on a single fancy coffee or beer and don't get much at all for it.
Doing the math I think he needs at least a 1,000 folks at 5 bucks a month.
As the old saying goes: Anything worth having is worth paying for.
The link to his Patreon account is just right above this comment section.
Thanks for reading!
That ruler tip is top noch. You get those dimple died holes done so quickly...imagine if you used time lapse!
I'v learned more in the last month watching you than I have in the last 5 years! Awesome.
I asked and you deliver .
Gusset man we salute you !
Proper skills .
"There's a hole in my gusset dear Liza"

100 videos or a thousand, ill still be watching from Australia, Awesome work mate.
I actually look forward to the Mongrel videos over everything on PoopTube
Love the ruler tip. Also the suggestion to use a nut and a bolt for your dimpler if you don’t have a dirty great press. Thanks for reminding me to deburr before using the dimpler.
Those gussets that go between the X in a roll cage are commonly referred to as taco shells or taco gussets which is a pretty good description of what they are really.
No matter what others say... have a nice weekend and a few good beer (or whatever you prefer)!
Faster than a press for sure! Great work!
The use of the bolt & nut, as a substitute for a press, is a great idea. Thank you.
Holy mother of gusset. Loving the dimple die trick and the ruler trick. (Q max dies? I used a q max hole punch cutter to get nearly a kilo out of my 340 turbo tailgate and it seemed a nice bit of kit). Here's one you might know but if you don't it's awesome. Metal splinter in the finger? Vernier calipers. Better than the tweezers that nobody ever has in the workshop. Works tip top every time.
The ruler tip was genius 👌🏼
Holy mother of gusset! what a fantastic job. Loving the series. Great work Matt
friend of mine is a fabricator, he has worked in dubai on oil pipelines......he said your work is stunning ! I showed him some older vids.... im very impressed by your knowledge and skills
Watching from the states, really enjoy your informative videos. Good day
Dimple die panels look great. I really look forward to your vids Matt. Nice progress.
That nut and bolt thing works great.
Nice wee tip about the ruler.. Thanks bud and keep up the good work...
Those new pieces look great.
I noticed you have a hammer with a solid steel handle. Thats one of those secret fabrication tools nobody talks about
great project and I'm glad you are going to do this full time
can't beat a good gusset...good work as always..
Me and my metal ruler have a love hate relationship that one simple tip has stopped me from chucking it across the workshop, thank you,
'There's a hol in my gussett....' Great stuff as usual.
I love this build and the ruler tip
Great ruler tip, superb build, thanks.
Excellent as always buddy really neat gussets good progress no matter how long it takes you your keeping your viewers in suspense as to the final article 👍
Great vid and quality work. No surprise there :)
TIP: weld the bolt you're using for the dimple die to the edge of a bit of thick flat plate. It should be roughly the width of your vise jaws. This will give you a much more secure purchase in the vise, as well as the ability to turn it sideways (better body positioning & less awkward).
Good luck n keep up the great work
Loving all your video's and have binged on the ones that I missed before discovering your top channel, keep em coming, your an excellent fabricator.
Great job as usual! I get a chuckle everytime you speed up the shot. Today's video was awesome. The little touches like the dimples really add to the overall coolness! Looking forward to more!
Lovin the daily uploads Matt!! Great tips and very cool designs. Glad to see you following your dreams.
man l would like half this dudes knowlage and skill great work mate we drove half way across Australia in a 100e during the early 70s !!!!!!
That looks really cool. Time consuming, but then again most cool things are.
I want you to know your one of my favorite content creator's when I see a new video from you I don't care who i'm watching with the exception of 2 or 3 I stop watching there new video to watch what your doing to this car I'm from America so that car might as well of been produced on the moon I have never seen one here in Athens Vermont but that's not what is important to me it's your skill as a fabricator it's fun to see how other people hone their craft to perfection I appreciate the hours and hours of work you put into Filming these epic videos I know it does not happen in the length of your videos I dare no guess the number of untold hours per video but its a lot I know that much so again thanks from across the "pond"
Brilliant work and video as usual - loving this build learning so much from my armchair!!
I'm not too far behind with my own project... 3dr Sierra
I've just managed remove All of the sound deadening in about the same time as you have built this BADASS creation.
Matt wins.
Looking good. You should try out the Q max sheet metal hole punches. Could also use them with the impact gun and they cut a very clean hole. I bought the sizes over time to match all my dimple die sizes.
My only critique I wish the videos were a little longer.. Like maybe 3-4 hours. Can't stop watching them. Awesome
Hope you have a great weekend
Loving the urch murch!
Just to add to comment from Dan Huband, you do look like your at work on a wednesday now and not Monday morning. We all do better work when we are enjoying what we do. I need more videos Matt.
Nice details those well made gussets. It looks like 60's gasser.
Great video Matt, keep them coming fella 👍
Looking sweet! 👍🏻
I love WD-40, I use it for just about everything, even as deo!
I do seem to find quality sheet metalwork very satisfying to watch .
Love a good gusset
Me too.
looking good !
Every video you have made has great tips in it!
Nice straight edge tip. Love your channel
Obviously a shorter bolt would have made it quicker, but dropping the bolt in the vice is the easiest fix. Brilliant work. Very impressed. Respect. Locked And Loaded.
Indeed it would, and I've been using that same bolt for months!
Nice touch.
Good luck with the full time channel, Matt! Really wanted a hoodie, but they don't do 3xl! 😭😭😭 Cheers. Leigh.
Matt, I'm not even into playing with cars particularly,(, I'm a woodworker/woodcarver in sunny Devon who also does a bit of welding), but i love watching your videos and it's good to see your channel doing well mate : )
Superb work, as usual.
Brilliant !!! Carry On !
Only wish I lived closer so I could work with you... Hell, I would work for peanuts just to learn a few tricks :)

I’m going out to bend my meter stick!
Dave Boyer
Even though Canada has been metric since the early 70’s when I was 5 or 6 it still seems strange to see or hear someone say meter stick.
Hopefully yours isn’t wood. 😉
Wayne Crews I was born in 69, so I’m still stuck in the middle...I almost typed “yard” stick.
I like yard stick, I'm using that. Cheers
@@Urchfab it'll be 3 1/2 inches shy of a meter though!
Jules Webb
3 1/2”? Dang. That’s like 6” to a man. 👌
